MOODLE NEWS BITES WATCH OUR SHORT VIDEO - HELP US TO KEEP YOU SAFE We have produced a short video sharing more about how we are asking you to help us stay safe together. This contains important information about the measures we are following to ensure Campus is safe, and it is particularly important for students visiting during our partial reopening. The information it contains is current until 4th July, and will be updated in light of yesterday’s Government announcements. Please do take a look at how you help keep yourself, and others, safe. Our support and drive to tackle any form of injustice or inequality, including faced by the LGBT+ community, has also been recognised by how we are the Number 1 Organisation in the UK for Equality and Diversity. Usually we host a special week on Campus to celebrate Pride week and share more about our work as a College. Due to lockdown our 2020 celebrations are taking place digitally. You’ll have seen our social media celebrations, and we thought we’d share some ways you can still be involved safely from home: Wear a rainbow during Pride week. Whilst we can’t make and hand out rainbow ribbons for lanyards, if you have a rainbow item of clothing, why not wear it? • We have a dedicated LGBT+ group offering a confidential and safe space. If you’d like to find out more, or access some virtual advice and support during this time, email [email protected] • Show your support and find out more about supporting the LGBT+ community by taking a look at Just Like Us, which shares stories and offers support - check out the #JLUatHome section at https://www.justlikeus.org/ Love has no labels. During Pride week we would normally invite you to complete a leaf for our tree of kindness to share more about someone you love and why you think love has no labels. Why not send a card to someone you love to say you are thinking of them? • There’s some fantastic virtual events taking place across the world. PRIDE WEEK - DIGITAL CELEBRATIONS FOR 2020 As an inclusive and welcoming College, we are very proud to be a Stonewall Champion.

You’ll have seen our social media celebrations, and we thought we’d share some ways you can still be involved safely from home:

• Wear a rainbow during Pride week. Whilst we can’t make and hand out rainbow ribbons for lanyards, if you have a rainbow item of clothing, why not wear it?

• We have a dedicated LGBT+ group offering a confidential and safe space. If you’d like to find out more, or access some virtual advice and support during this time, email [email protected]

• Show your support and find out more about supporting the LGBT+ community by taking a look at Just Like Us, which shares stories and offers support - check out the #JLUatHome section at https://www.justlikeus.org/

• Love has no labels. During Pride week we would normally invite you to complete a leaf for our tree of kindness to share more about someone you love and why you think love has no labels. Why not send a card to someone you love to say you are thinking of them?

• There’s some fantastic virtual events taking place across the world. Global Pride is streaming 24 hours of content from Pride organisations, activists, civil society groups, politicians and world leaders from across the world. Check out what’s happening: www.globalpride2020.org/watch/
