Dear Parents/Carers, The week started off very eventfully with the snow. I would like to thank you all for your understanding that the school could not be opened due to the dangerous conditions around the site. I would also like to say a huge thank you to Mr Rant, our premises manager, who worked tirelessly to ensure we opened for learning on Tuesday. On Wednesday 30

th January the

office staff and I will be holding a drop-in session at 9.10am until 9.40am for parents who feel that they may be entitled to a free school meal. It is very important for the school, as our funding directly links to free school meals. Even if you provide your child with a packed lunch, please do drop in and we will help you fill out a form.

Year 1 and 2 Targets

Everyone should have received their new targets this week. It is very important that you understand these

targets and work on them with your child at home. If you are not sure on how to do this please let a member of the teaching staff know and we will try to explain them

to you and how you can help. The targets and your child’s progress towards achieving them will be

discussed during the next Parents Evenings which take place immediately after the half term break. Further

information will be sent out shortly.

PE Kit PE is a very important part of your child’s learning. Can you please ensure that your child has a PE kit in school every day which includes jogging bottoms, t-shirt and plimsolls in a named Loxford PE bag. Thank you
