Hello St. Paul Families,

Driving between St. Paul and St. Bruno this week I noticed that the leaves are changing and that Fall has arrived! In fact, we are approaching the

mid-point of October and major milestone event on the school calendar: our Annual Soles for Education Walk—next week Saturday (October

15th) at Mount Mary College in western Milwaukee (near Mayfair Mall). There is still time to sign up! Go to http://catholicschoolswalk.org/ to

register under “Team Cyclones”. All proceeds raised will go to the St. Paul tuition assistance fund. If you are unable to participate you can still

donate to this worthy cause. Please see the table in the gathering space after mass or stop into the main office.

I would like to thank Peggy Smith for agreeing to be our team Captain. Please also see the table in the gathering space after mass to donate to

this worthy cause.

polling parents to gauge interest and to set a possible date. Right now the dates available are March 30th and 31st. If we reserve this date we

receive a 25% discount. A letter is being sent home today detailing this process. Please contact either Barb Berner or I for any questions. I would

like to thank Barb Berner for all the hard work that she has put in both in the library and in running the student council this year.

4K Parents:

I would also like to thank Rick and Sarah Drolet. This evening (10/6/2016) Rick and Sarah will be hosting a 4K BBQ/Pumpkin-Rolling at their

home beginning at 6:00pm. This is a very generous commitment that is very much appreciated. This is another example of the commitment

displayed by our parents here at St. Paul.

Reminder:

• On Monday, October 10th there will be a School Committee meeting at St. Paul beginning at 7:00pm.

• There will be no school on Friday, October 14th to accommodate Catholic Educator’s Convention

Upcoming Event:

Mark your calendars! On Saturday, October 29th the Home & School Committee will be sponsoring a “Trunk or Treat”. A Trunk or Treat has

cars with open trunks decorated to celebrate Halloween. Kids dress up in costumes and “Trunk-or-Treat” from one car to the next. The Trunk

We need to update our Substitute Teacher List!

Please let Kelly in the office know if you (or someone you know) have a flexible schedule and a teaching license

or bachelor degree. All Substitute Teachers MUST complete the Safe Guarding God’s Children program.

Scrip Help: The amazing Scrip team we have at the school is looking for help sorting Wednesday

mornings at 8:30am for about one hour, and selling on Saturday and Sunday after

Mass. This is a great opportunity to earn your service hours. A little help can

make a world of difference. Please contact Kathy [email protected]

We also need volunteers for a few different things around school. If you have

received the Safe Guarding training and would like to help out please inquire to

[email protected] with your interests and we can find the perfect spot

for you. Also thank you for all that you do and have done for this school.

Without parent help and support we would not be where we are today!

Watkins Sale

Watkins catalogs came home today in the family folder. This library fundraiser will run from

Thursday, September. 29 with orders due on Monday, October 17. Pick up will be in the school

library on Wednesday, November 2 from 3:00 – 5:30 p.m. Orders will also be available in the

Bookaneer Book Fair

Just a reminder that our Scholastic Book Fair will run from Tuesday, Nov. 8 through Sunday, Nov. 13. Look ahead and

reserve Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for a grandparent or special person to have lunch with a student and visit the

Look at these 6th grade classmates

getting to compete against each other!

Kettle Moraine and Catholic

Memorial had a tie game last week

scoring 6-6. Parker is part of the

Kettle Moraine Lasers, and Tommy is part of the Catholic

Memorial Crusaders! Great job boys!

FRIENDSHIP

Please remember we are all unique and different: just the way God created us. Please

reassure your children it is okay to be different. Encourage them to seek out one friend

this week they would normally not play with. I love having my child at St. Paul’s because

I feel we are cutting out the problems that could arise in a larger school and replacing

them with more kindness!

As a TEAM let’s make sure we keep the POWER of friendship going.

Note from Kitchen:

I just want to say THANK YOU to those moms who came forward to help me in the kitchen. I feel incredibly blessed to be part of

such a wonderful community and consider St. Paul as my family. I would not want to be anywhere else. Because of the huge response

I am in need of only 1 more volunteer for every other week on Wednesdays . If interested please email me or call the school office.

Crystal Januchowski (Mikayla Gr. 4)

Ann Marie Duemling (Roman Gr. K5)

Nilda Skowronek (Bennett and Allison Grade 3 &5)

Rachel Hewett (Brayden Gr. K3)

Allie Milbrath (Timmy Gr. K4)

I also want to thank Gina Rhodes, Maria Myers and Laurel Hansen (recently retired ) for their continued

support in the kitchen over the last few years. I know I don’t thank you enough for your tireless commit-

ment to the hot lunch program and your other endeavors in the school. Lastly, I can’t forget Cara Bajczyk ( my partner in crime) over

the last 8 years. She has helped me since the beginning and sadly for me and the school this will be her last year. She has been

extremely committed to helping in the kitchen and a dear friend. She will be truly missed.
