Print Advertisement Production Specifications

MATERIAL DEADLINES • Advertisement space order: 5 weeks before the magazine delivery date.• Materials in digital format: 3 weeks before the magazine delivery date.Note: Deadlines may be changed subject to national holidays. Please enquire at the time of booking space.

MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS • Material should be high resolution PDF (PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-3, Version 1.3 *Version 1.4 or later can not be accepted).• All fonts must be outlined.• PDFs should include crop or trim marks and bleed.• All color must be CMYK process. RGB process can not be accepted.• Set the four-color combined TAC value at 320% or less.• Use the over-print settings for all-black (K100%) objects. Note that color-mixed objects and images may not be over-printed.• Files should be press optimized with image resolution at 350dpi. • Delivery: Via media package (CD or DVD) or e-mail• Ads must be sent with a color proof and completed check sheet downloadable fromhttp://www.nikkeibp.com/adinfo/specs/• Nikkei BP will store digitally supplied material for a period of six months.

In printing ad on Bleed full page, make sure that • crop/trim marks are included• material size is 216 x 286 (gray), 3mm or more (green) included from each crop/trim line.

[Bleed full page] • Designs cover extra 3mm or more (green) from each crop/trim line not to make white blank space on the edge.• Important elements (text, mark, logo, image etc.) are placed inside Safe area (red), at least 10mm from each crop/trim line(blue line) to avoid loss of the content during trimming.

If changes cannot be negotiated, the advertisement will be declined. • The advertiser shall assume full responsibility for the advertisement. • The content and purpose of the advertisement and the name of the advertiser must be clear. Nikkei BP may decline advertisements with graphs where no company names are given (e.g. competitor A)

Hyperbole Safe, surefire, guaranteed, secure, never fails, etc.
