Community Survey KDHS

After the community meeting that was held in 2012, expressions of interest were called for people who are keen to develop KDHS to its fullest potential. From this People Encouraging Education in Kulin (PEEK) was formed. Its members are as follows:

Nicole Thompson, Sharyn McAdam, Renae Eva, Sarah Gangell, Donna Spurgeon, Greg Hadlow, Alecia Robertson, Taryn Scadding, Jill Argent, Liz Pittard, Tessa Silver, Megan Syred, Yvonne Bowey

The first meeting of PEEK was held in February 2013, and it was decided that the first task of the group was to survey the Kulin

Community to gather feedback and perceptions of KDHS. This information will be used by PEEK to form achievable outcomes. We would really appreciate your honesty in completing this survey. We understand that KDHS is facing real challenges to remain an outstanding education facility, but we need you to tell us what those

challenges are, so we can work towards addressing them. Real change requires our active involvement. We look forward to KDHS being a vibrant place that will educate our children, grand children and great grand children. Please copy and paste this link to your web browser to complete the survey. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/7JLDDCT

It can be completed by anyone and is completely anonymous. The survey will close on Sunday 16th June. If you have any queries, or would like to discuss any aspect of the survey, please feel free to contact any of the above members. Many thanks Sharyn McAdam

Kulin Sports Update Kulin Golf Club by Wendy Gangell This coming Sunday the Kondinin Club are joining local players for the second day of the annual challenge. Kondinin were victor’s last round so everyone is invited to come along at 12 this Sunday to try and equal the score! Please also stay for a light Dinner following the game. The ladies wish to thank everyone who came along to make our annual Biggest morning tea so successful. Everyone has been commenting on the large display of Wedding gowns we had on display. We have been able to send off $600 to the Cancer Council- well done ladies. Date to note: Our Ladies Open Day- Wynona Wilson Memorial trophy will be played on June 27th. This is an 18hole 4BBB event so choose your partner and come along and join us. Kulin/Kondinin Football Club by Ben Whisson The D Grade had a tough day 2 weeks ago, going down against a skillful Narembeen side. The 2 week break has been an ideal time to work on a few things at training, particularly the attack on the footy. Congratulations to Tom Bennier on winning the $10 Award. The B Grade boys had a disappointing defeat, where a last quarter lapse cost them the game while most of the first three quarters went goal for goal. A young Narem side had a bit too much zip for some of our elder statesmen and we gave their good players too much liberty. The awards from the last 2 games were presented last week. Award Winners Nukarni Narembeen 4Farmers Kondinin M Lucchesi N Schorer Kulin Community Bank B Looby H Williams Dyson Jones R Hallam J Spencer Mitre 10 Kulin K Spurgeon T McAdam The League encounter was a great game against our traditional rivals as a combined club. A very fast paced game saw a lot of quick ball movement with both sides eager to run forward which meant turnovers were costly. The last quarter drew a greater resemblance to cricket than football with Kit Tyson taking a great slips catch and Sam Schorer being ‘yorked’ on the goal line. To our boys credit we were on the right side of the ledger at the end, winning by 23 points. Award Winners Nukarni Narembeen Kondinin Hotel Awarded B Duckworth Countrywide Insurance Narrogin to trainers B Gasior Middle East Engineering this R Duckworth Crisps Corner Store week D Brandis After a week off we are fresh to come up against Bruce Rock which marks the end of the first round. Thanks to Kulin IGA for providing the fresh fruit and lollies at the end of our games. KKFC Junior Notes by David Hallam On Sunday the 26th of May the KKFC juniors played Narambeen in Kulin. The team was happy to be playing on the home field but unfortunately we lost. Tom Bennier won the 10 dollar award for playing excellently in the back line and young Sam Ellis won a five dollar award for his efforts on the wing. Nick Savage and Dylan Rader each won five dollar awards as well. The final scores were: NARAMBEEN: 14 goals 12 behinds (96) KKFC: 2 goals (12)

This week the Blues take on Bruce Rock on Sunday at BK. *Please not fixture change*

Please come over and support the boys. Go the Blues!!!!
