ALL PIPE PLUGS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL!Some Facts to Compare When Selecting a Pipe Plug

Inflation Pressure -

• A higher inflation pressure gives a better safety margin against back pressure. We feature some of the highest inflation pressures in the industry. Compare and see for yourself!

Reinforcement -

• Some plugs are molded and have no reinforcement, but they are cheaper to buy. We use several materials for reinforcement such as polyester cord and DuPont Kevlar®. While Kevlar does not make our bladders bullet-proof, we can use fewer layers of reinforcement with Kevlar as compared to polyester cord. This saves labor cost while constructing the bladder!

Safety Relief Valves -

• Plug-It Products has featured Safety Relief Valves in some of our products for over 12 years• Our Valves automatically reset to the proper pressure if the plug is over-inflated, so the

contractor can continue using the plug• The pressure relief valves help protect the plug from damage caused from over-inflation.

Look for dealers who rent plugs with Safety Relief Valves! Don’t buy a rental plug that fails because of the previous user!

Versatility -

• Our 400 Series Multi-Size Flow Diverters with flanged ends offer many different options; diverting flow, for pumping, or bypassing inside of a structure

• Our 900, 910, 925, & 950 Series can be used as Joint Testers or Grout Packers• Our Multi-Size Joint Testers give the most wall clearance between the bladder and pipe wall.

Our Joint Testers will clear allowable deflection and most bends in pipe, ending the need to disassemble the tester inside the pipe

• Our 925 Series Collapsible Joint Testers can test a larger diameter pipe while slipping through a 24” manhole opening, so the cone does not have to be pulled

Ventilation Blowers

Blower Ducting

4 different diameters: 8”, 12”, 16” and 20”. The 8” ducting is available in 6’, 15’ and 25’ lengths. The 12”, 16” and 20” are available in 15’ and 25’ lengths. Lightweight and retractable, this ducting is designed for maximum air handling capabilities and built for dual direction flow with minimum friction loss. Vinyl and polyester materials with PVC coating make this single ply duct stand up to any rugged environment. The non-collapsible design and yellow with black weather strip for visibility on the job, also meets ASTM 227 specs.

Saddle Vents

Taking up a minimum amount of space, the Saddle Vent allows workers easy access in and out of confined spaces. Ducting can be attached to the top and bottom of the Saddle Vent which comes in a tank version or manhole style. Saddle Vent is a registered trademark of Air Systems International, Inc.: Saddle Vent device is protected under U.S.Patent Nos. 4,974,956, 4,982,653 and foreign patents.

Centrifugal Blowers

Perfect for remote locations where electricity is unavailable, this gasoline-powered, 3 1/2 hp blower offers high flow rates. The 8” ports and steel guards provide safety and the polyethylene housing with built-in handle offers durability and convenience. It is designed with a sturdy metal base that minimize blower rocking and offers greater stability. Two quarts of gasoline will power 2-3 hours of running time. Blower includes 5 foot exhaust hose extension.

Axial Blowers

This versatile system features the 8” COM-PAX-IAL blower with canister and your choice of 15’ or 25’ ducting. This lightweight unit is designed with the quick-connect clipping system which allows workers to attach the canister, tools-free, to the input side for powerful extraction or output side for ventilation. The 15’ or 25’ ducting stores conveniently within the canister. Special design features include blower and canister built-in carry handles, built-in On/Off switch and “Safety” orange coloration.

60’ DuraTech 3-way recovery unit is a fully featured SRL that includes an integral winch for use in confined space applications. It can be used for rescue and retrieval and can also be used to assist in lowering personnel to their work position. Features galvanized steel cable and cast and CNC machined aluminum housing and drum. The internal brake is constructed with a hard-wearing bronze ratchet center and pawls with an alloy steel pressure plate. The integral recovery mechanism utilizes an aluminum winch gear and arm with a steel handle. Lasers

The VERTEX® Slope Laser System is a high performance rotating laser that is designed for all general construction and agricultural leveling tasks. It is ideal for slope applications such as excavating, pipe laying, septic systems, sloped pads and fields, embankments, and drainage. As a flat laser, it can be used for checking grade, elevation setting, foundations, footings, and concrete forms.

The system allows an operator to take accurate, self-leveled elevation measurements up to 1250 feet away with a laser detector. Grades of up to 25% can be set into the laser in increments of .01%. An optional compound grade adapter can be added for use in dual slope applications.

The tripod mounted laser sends a 360° plane of laser light over the entire work area. The laser light is picked-up by the CYCLONE hand held or rod mounted laser detector which allows elevation control to be a one man operation. Multiple detectors may be used simultaneously from the same laser set-up.

WARRANTY

Plug-It Products warrants all of it’s plugs against defects of material and workmanship for two (2) years from the purchase date of invoice (all other products carry a one (1) year warranty). Any product having a manufacturer defect in material or workmanship should be returned to Plug-It Products for evaluation. If the item is found to be defective, as stated above, Plug-It Products will repair or replace the product at it’s option. Plug-It Products will not accept responsibility for incidental or consequential damages caused by the use or misuse of our products, and it’s liability shall in all instances be limited to your actual purchase price of the defective product. ! » Never use a plug in pipe diameters other than what the plug is designed for.

» If a plug fails, it could result in DEATH, BODILY INJURY, AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE!

» Read and understand the Plug-It Products Safety Manual before using a plug, even if you have been using plugs for 25 years!

» Use the correct Safety Inflation Rope/Hose assembly to operate the plug outside of the DANGER ZONE.

» Know the correct inflation pressure before placing the plug in the pipe.

» PSI air is the same as PSI water, the forces are the same. However, air is compressible, making air pressure more dangerous.

» Always use blocking to restrain the plug, keeping the plug in place.

» Never deflate or remove a plug when there is pressure behind the plug.

» Never use a plug that shows cuts, cracks, tears or holes in the plug’s surface.

» Always double plug, never rely on just one single plug.

» The gauge on the Safety Inflation Rope/Hose is to monitor the pressure in the plug while in use, not just for inflation of the plug. Check the gauge to monitor the inflation pressure every 4 hours.
