INSTALLATION

The honeycomb structure should be just covered with gravel (size 4-16 mm).

For finer gravels this will be approximately 1 cm, for coarser gravels 2 cm.

INSTALLATION

The basic borders are designed to provide a beauti-

ful finish to garden paths, terraces, flowerbeds and

lawns in a simple, fast and aesthetic manner. They

are characterised by flexibility.

Basic borders are both flexible and firm; they can

be bent into 90° corners as well as wavy forms.

They are available in Corten steel and galvanised

steel.

DIMENSIONS

ECCOfence Alubox is the most narrow gabion in our range. The Alubox is only 16.5 cm wide. As a result, there is virtually no loss of space, while it is still very solid thanks to the concrete anchor. In addition, you will need less filling, which will reduce the costs.

Option 3: Using the ground anchor. The ground anchor was specifically developed for the Alubox. It consists of four large bolts with fitting plates. This ground anchor is placed on the load-bearing substrate. The ground anchor is secured using quick-drying concrete (curing time is only 2 hours). The advantage of this system is that the Alubox can still be adjusted so that it is properly level.

+ Easy handling: the tiles only weigh between 8 and 12.5 kg/m²

+ Low weight per m²: between 30 and 55 kg/m². As a result, the ECCOsedum system can be placed on virtually any roof

+ ECCOsedum can be installed throughout the year (in contrast to on-the-spot vegetation, in which case installation should be avoided in winter and summer)

+ Easily removable if necessary, for example in case of water infiltration or roof maintenance

Installation

1. Proper roof waterproofing is assumed.

2. Install a root-resistant layer. If necessary, apply 10-cm overlaps and tape the seam shut.

3. Install a protective layer, ensuring 10-cm overlaps.

4. Lock the ECCOsedum tiles together.

5. Finish the edges with roof gravel (= vegetation-free zone) or cut the tiles to size

Drainage layerThe drainage allows excess precipitation to be drained away on top of the roof membrane, without hindering catchment.

Vegetation layerThe ECCOsedum system makes use of no less than 7 types of sedum which are fully rooted (not giving weeds a chance).

Substrate layerThe substrate layer provides nourishment and water to the veg-etation, supplies oxygen and ensures anchoring of the roots

Filtering layerThis layer prevents washing away of the substrate. A non-wo-ven, 150-g/m² polypropylene cloth obstructs the fine particles from the substrate.

Water buffering layerWater buffering helps the plants to survive dry spells. There-fore, the lower half of the tray ensures buffering of the rainwa-ter.
