PRODUCT FEATURES How the rotation360º works

rotation360° vs. Regular BackpacksA truism of photo backpacks is that the “disadvantage of a backpack is that you have to take if off of your body to access your photo equipment.” The Rotation360° allows you to access your photo gear by rotating a belt pack through a hole in the bottom of the backpack, and return it again when desired, without having to take off the backpack.

Supporting a BeltpackPhotographers complain that if you carry a beltpack only, it causes stress on either the front of your body or on your back, depending on where you carry it. With the Rotation360° you do not have to carry an unsupported beltpack on the front or back of your body for hours, which can cause pain. The advantage of the Rotation360° is that it allows you to access your gear in the beltpack only when you need it.

Locking MechanismThere is a locking mechanism on the side of the belt that when pulled allows the beltpack to be rotated to the front of the body. As long as the backpack is being worn, there is no need to re-lock the beltpack, allowing you to rotate it in and out easily. Before taking the backpack off, be sure to lock the beltpack in place.

Accessing Your Equipment - FASTTo capture the moment when shooting pictures, switching lenses quickly is critical. Access your gear and take a picture within seconds without having to remove your backpack. When the side lock is released, the belt pack can be rotated to the front of the body quickly.

PRODUCT FEATURES How the rotation360º works

Changing Lenses and EquipmentThe distinct advantage of SLR’s is that you can change lenses for specific reasons thus, this heightens the need to be able to change lenses and other accessories very quickly. The Rotation360° allows for the changing of lenses with unprecedented speed, and for returning the beltpack into the backpack, if desired.

70-200 2.8 Lens “Rail” on the BeltpackThere is a ‘rail’ on the side of the beltpack that allows for Modulus components to be attached. The Lens Changer 75 or the Whip it Out can be attached and will hold a 70-200 2.8 or similar lens. Note that when this case is attached, the beltpack will rotate in only one direction through the backpack.

Rail on the BackpackEither side of the backpack has “rails” that can be used to add additional Modulus components, such as the Lens Changers, to expand the backpack’s capacity. These extra bags can be used to carry water bottles, extra photo equipment, cell phones, and other miscellaneous items.

Backpack is Self Standing. Beltpack Used SeparatelyOne very important feature is that the backpack is self standing, with or without the beltpack. Another very important feature is that the beltpack can be used separately from the backpack itself, so if you do not need the backpack, you need take only the beltpack.

PRODUCT FEATURES How the rotation360º works

Supporting ONE SLRPhotographers constantly complain about the weight of the cameras on their shoulders or around their necks. With the Rotation360°attachment system, all of the weight is distributed on the shoulder straps, not on your neck or on one shoulder.

Camera StrapWe provide a camera strap with the Rotation360° that works with our shoulder har-ness mounting systems. Our camera strap is very lightweight and portable, with a minimum of bulk.

Supporting TWO SLRsBy attaching one camera to either of the shoulder straps, cameras are prevented from slipping or falling off your shoulders. This allows for instant switching from one SLR to the other SLR.

Kneeling DownKneeling down can be very uncomfortable with a traditional beltpack. With the Rotation360° you can change lenses and then rotate the beltpack back into the backpack, or position it on the side of your body.

Additional Photo Gear: Clothing, Food, and AccessoriesThe upper compartment can be used for additional photo gear, and will hold a Pro-size SLR with lens attached. It can also be used for clothing, food, and other essen-tials.

Carrying a 70-200 2.8The inside vertical dimension of the upper compartment is 9.5”, so most longer lenses will fit. Remember, you can also attach the Lens Changer 75 to the rail on the side of the beltpack to carry the same lens.

Seam-sealed RaincoversBoth the backpack and the beltpack come with seam-sealed raincovers, which are similar to waterproof rain jackets. Think Tank Photo is currently the only photogra-phy bag company to seam seal their raincovers.

Tripod or Monopod MountingThere is a built in tripod/ monopod mounting system. In the top front zippered pocket is an attachment strap for the top of the tripod. The tripod can very easily be attached or detached, and it does not effect the rotation of the beltpack in any way.

APPLICATIONS

WalkingThe primary application of the rotation360º backpack is any activity that requires a significant amount of walking and immediate access to your photographic equip-ment. In addition, the rotation360º helps when you are:

1. Walking longer distances.

2. Needing the support of a backpack with aharness system, as compared to a shoulder bag or sling bag.

3. Keeping both hands free by having the SLRsupported by the shoulder straps.

4. Needing to access your gear immediately.

5. Carrying other items, like clothing, food, atripod, etc.

6. Changing from walking or running mode toshooting mode as fast as possible.

7. Keeping your gear secure without having to take off your backpack and expose your photo gear while traveling.

TravelTravel photography, and the exploration that it entails, almost always requires exten-sive walking. Carrying your SLR on one shoulder with a shoulder bag on the other, or a regular daypack, can become extremely tiring.

By using the rotation360° you can easily transition from walking to taking pictures in a matter of seconds without losing speed. Since the SLR can be supported by the shoulder straps on the backpack, your hands are free while you walk, allowing you to look at maps and examine the space around you..

Whenever you desire, you can rotate the beltpack to the front of your body, change lenses, and get the shot. It’s that simple. The speed in which you can do this with the rotation360° is absolutely essential, since many great photographs are about captur-ing fleeting, unique moments.

APPLICATIONS

Outdoor PhotographyThe rotation360° is ideal for shooting out-of-doors, especially in locations requiring hiking. Photographic moments are fleeting: Are you able to change lenses and ac-cessories and capture these moments, or are you bent over, pulling your gear out of your backpack?

For example, if you need to switch your wide angle lens to a 70 200 2.8, with the ro-tation360° with our Lens Changer 75 attached to the rail, you can rotate the beltpack to the front and change the lens without losing sight of the image. This can be done exceptionally fast, especially when compared to traditional backpacks.

For larger lenses, like a 300 2.8, 400 2.8, 500 4, or a 600 4, are commonly already mounted on a monopod or tripod and carried on the shoulder. Once it is set down, with the rotation360° it is possible to access your other essential items without tak-ing off the backpack.

PhotojournalismFor photojournalists, the key question when deciding which bag to use for a particu-lar assignment is how long they will be required to walk. Given the variety of photo-journalistic assignments, there are times when the photographer is required to walk several miles or more, such as covering a lengthy event like a marathon, a wildfire, or shooting an outdoor/travel/or natural disaster related assignment.

The key issue for a photojournalist is how many hours will they be required to carry their gear and over what distance. In many circumstances the rotation360° can relieve the stress of carrying a tremendous amount of equipment while still providing immediate access to it.

APPLICATIONS

City LifeMany photographers do not explore cities extensively simply because their gear is too heavy. The mere thought of carrying photo equipment over many miles causes them to cringe in anticipation of extreme discomfort.

When walking long distances there is no substitute for a photo backpack. Other alter-natives become very uncomfortable after lugging heavy or awkward gear for only a few miles. This isn’t to mention carrying other essential items, such as a jacket, food, or water.

The key differentiator with the rotation360º is that you have all of the benefits of a backpack while being able to access your equipment at any time by simply unlocking the beltpack and rotating it to the front of your body. As circumstances change, you can quickly change lenses and accessories to capture the shot.

Urban ExplorationMany photographers prefer beltpacks because they can be easily moved from the back to the front of the body and supported by a shoulder strap. But since a shoulder strap does not distribute the load equally over both shoulders, this to can become tiring and lead to stress or even damage.

When kneeling down while wearing a beltpack on the front of the body, photogra-phers can sense the bag’s bulkiness. They end up feeling like ”something is in the way.“

In both instances, with rotation360º you can rotate the beltpack to the front to change lenses. Not only does this allow the shoulders to bear the weight evenly, it can be positioned on the hip or rotated back into the backpack and out of the way.
