Bench Types:

Up/down switch (one per side) is standard; programmable switch is available separately.

Bench models include a sit-to-stand base and two worksurfaces. Benches support a maximum weight of 300 lbs. per worksurface. Specify the type of bench based on power/data needs. ➤See far right column for descriptions. Worksurfaces, which are part of the bench model, have square edges and are 3⁄4" thick. They are available in: • Thermally fused laminate (TFL) with

vinyl or ply rim • High-pressure laminate (HPL) with

vinyl, ply rim or plywood edge • Wood veneer with a wood rim • Plywood with exposed plywood

edge

Anti-collision function on control box (one per side) reduces damage to the desk and surrounding objects in the event of collision with a firm object. If an obstruction is detected, the table will stop and move in the opposite direction. The control box also has a built-in safety feature to shut down should the motor overheat and includes a 7' power cord.

Center-mount fixed screens can be specified for use on benches; screens are specified separately. Privacy worksurface screens and canopy screens are also available. Two screens are specified per bench. They can be the same or different.

Sit-to-stand base adjusts in height from 28"–421⁄2". Base is available in 501 platinum metallic at no upcharge. Each worksurface has its own lift columns and central control box for synchronization. Two-column leg compresses inside itself in lower positions. Illustration shows bench in its lowest position.

Ganging connector, specified sepa-rately, connect benches together. Ganging connector is screwed to the underside of the crossrails of both benches. Specify 28F29GCP when connecting two benches together.

1" gap minimum between side-by-side worksurfaces is required to minimize pinch/clearance hazards. Ganging connector is sized to provide the required 1" minimum clearance when worksurfaces are installed appropriately.

Different screen types are designed to align when used together bench to bench. Worksurface privacy screen brackets are designed to align with a center screen or canopy.

Height-adjustable table ends are available in rectangular and half-round shapes.

Benches can be used singly with one frame providing a two-person work-station or several benches can be connected to form a dual-sided run.

Standard Programmable

Two up/down switch control boxes, one per side, ships standard with all benches. Program mable memory control switch with four settings and display can be specified separately to replace a standard module. Both the standard and the programmable switches can be mounted on the left or right side of the worksurface and are field installed. Glides are standard with a silver metal top and black plastic base. They are 21⁄4" diameter and 1⁄2"H. Stem is 5⁄8" and leveling range is 1⁄4". If more leveling is required, a break in the bench run may be necessary.

Connections

Ganging connector, model 28F29GCP, is specified separately to link benches together.

Planning Factors

When specifying storage, the maximum clearance under the height-adjustable bench frame to the floor is 241⁄4" with the leveling glide in the lowest position. Perks hanging CPU holder cannot be used with Canopy benches as it will interfere with the understructure. Canopy center and worksurface screens are specified in the same width as the bench. Clamp-on monitor arms and power units cannot be used with Canopy bench.

Equipment shelf offers space to locate media equipment. It is 111⁄8"D and spans the width of canopy. Top surface is HPL with 3⁄4" thick exposed plywood edge. Shelf sits 191⁄2" above the floor. Fixed end seat for bench attaches to the end of a bench and provides seating to be paired with freestanding tables to create impromptu meeting areas. The unit ships knock and can-not be used as a freestanding unit.

Canopy screen ships with the unit and is 591⁄4"W x 52"H. Three quarter-inch thick exposed plywood edge is standard with a variety of material combinations in HPL, writable HPL and felt. Upholstered seat is 187⁄8" deep and spans the width of canopy. The cush-ion attaches to an HPL shelf with 3⁄4" thick exposed plywood edge. The cushion sets 207⁄8" above the floor. Fixed frame is 501 platinum and accommodates the wood truss (specified separately).

H-frame ships with the unit and replaces the end crossrail to attach to the bench. Power options are not available.

End media walls with height-adjustable worksurface are avail-able as freestanding units and "for bench" models that much be attached to a bench for support. Model for bench attaches to either end of a bench to create a meeting area. These models cannot be used as a freestanding unit. Freestanding models feature an additional floor frame for stability in stand-alone applications. Units ship knocked down.

Height-adjustable worksurfaces features a sit-to-stand frame. Adjustment range is 28"–421⁄2".

Canopy can be used for privacy and to provide a mounting place for flat-screen TV or monitor. IMPORTANT: Canopy, model 28F6052CASE, is required and must be ordered separately. It attaches to the back of the equipment shelf frame. The overall height with the canopy screen installed is 697⁄8", which is taller than the bench with canopy.

Equipment shelf offers space to locate media equipment. It is 111⁄8"D and spans the width of canopy. Top surface is HPL with 3⁄4" thick exposed plywood edge. Shelf sits 191⁄2" above the floor. The equipment shelf cannot be used as a seat.

The power data tray is attached to the H-frame, which replaces the bench end crossrail to attach the fixed end media wall to the bench.

Connections Ganging connector, model 28F22GCP, is specified separately to link end media wall to a bench. Flat-screen TV or monitor can be mounted to a Canopy screen. TV or monitor should not exceed 60" diago-nal in size or 40 lbs. maximum. A fixed TV mount should be used with wood screens not exceeding 5⁄8" projection. Tilt and full-motion TV mounts cannot be mounted on a canopy screen. End media wall cable manager, model 28A0326CM, is available to mount to canopy below TV to route cables from TV to optional equipment shelf grommet.

Worksurface privacy screens with accessory rail are for use with dedi-cated accessories, which be can be used in any combination along the rail. Accessory rail screens are avail-able in all material options with the exception of felt.

Accessory rail sits flush with the screen surface. The rail is 12" high and is narrower than the screen width approximately 43⁄8" on each side. 591⁄4" and 60" screen rail width is 511⁄4". 72" screen rail width is 631⁄4". Rail is painted 501 Platinum Metallic finish.

Six accessories are available in all paint colors to accent workspaces.

Worksurface privacy screens with bungee cords provide a versatile board to display photos and project inspiration ideas. Items tuck between webbing without the need of a pin or magnet. Bungee screens are available in all material options with the excep-tion of writable laminate and felt. The bungee cord is a white cord with black flecks. The eyelets that attach cords to the screen are silver. Cords are woven under and over each other to creat the web design.

Details Benches with a factory-installed G34C accessory frame will accommodate a variety of dedicated accessory options. ➤See page 2.34 for dual and single M/Flex monitor arms.

Accessory frame is an aluminum frame with opening 35"W x 21/2"D and only available in 501 Platinum Metallic. Any combination of acces-sories can be used up to a maximum of seven 5"W units (10"W units count for two units: 15"W units count for three units). Perforated cable tray is designed to be used specifically with the acces-sory frame to organize cables beneath the worksurface. It mounts directly beneath the accessory frame. Avail-able in all paint colors.

Six work tools are available to help organize desktop. Available in all paint colors to accent workspaces; marker holders is available in Designer White writable paint.

Mounting plate can be specified separately to install a Perks Salt KCE02SUSM or Pepper KCE02PPSM unit (sold separately) to bring desktop power to the worksurface. The open-ing is 13/4" in diameter can also be used alone for cords to exit to the underside of the worksurface. Available in all paint colors.

Personal task light features an artic-ulating fixture head with single touch on/off button located next to the LED lens. Spring tension provides adjustable positioning of the arm. Light output is 350 lumens, color tem-perature of 3900K, with color render-ing index of 80. LED rated lifespan is greater than 20,000 hours. Power supply is 6-watt wall transformer with 4’11” black cord. UL Listed. Mounting plate available in all paint colors ships standard to mount light in accessory frame. Dual Single and dual M/Flex models feature a center post with two adjustable cable management clips at the base of pole. Monitor arms in this collection are the M2 dynamic arm assembly which features 4D adjustment. Each arm adjusts in and out, up and down, swiveling left and right, and tilting back and forward.

Monitors up to 20 lbs. can be accommodated: • Single monitor arm supports one

Canopy provides several cable management accessories that are designed for use on benches, table ends, all end media wall units and meeting booth. Cables must be routed to the under-side of the worksurface through a G1 or G19 grommet or G34 accessory frame for benches with screens. IMPORTANT: Cables cannot be routed between the worksurface and fixed-height privacy, center, or canopy screens. Even though a 5/16" gap will exist between a center or canopy screen and the worksurface; cables cannot pass between.

J-hooks are standard in all bench and end unit power/data trays and ganging connectors. They provide support for power in-feeds, and cables that run in the recessed center are connecting power between units. Quantity of J-hooks varies with the length of tray.

Plastic cable carrier guides cables from the worksurface to the power source, preventing kinks in the cables as the worksurface moves. The top screws to the underside of the work-surface and can lay in the power/data tray or be secured with provided high-strength magnets. The carrier features 1/2" x 1/2" openings on the inside to slip cords into each opening which accommodates one 1/4" cord and one data cable per side. Links in the carrier can be removed to adjust to the desired length. Carrier can also be installed using the magnets to the column leg below the tray on all bench frames to manage power cords from the power data/tray to a floor or wall outlet.

Perforated cable tray is designed to be used specifically with the G34C accessory frame to organize cables beneath the worksurface. Three openings in the bottom of the tray allow the plastic cable carrier (purchased separately) to organize cables to the power/data tray. Magnets supplied with the cable carrier secure to the inside of perforated cable tray.

Cable basket secures power and data cables neatly to the underside of a worksurface. It is available in two widths and is installed on either side of the table frame. It can be used with all grommets and cut-outs, including the G34C accessory frame.
