Advanced Engineering Centre

RDM Automotive has been supplying the automotive industry for more than 21 years, providing critical solutions to a host of tier 1, major car manufacturers and niche vehicle providers.

Our approach is simple and based on design, innovation and world class performance. We are also experts in taking cost and weight out of difficult engineering projects.

Based from our technical manufacturing centre in the heart of Coventry, we work with customers from the earliest possible development stage and can offer a range of services, from prototyping and electronics, to interior trim and machining.

In recent years, RDM’s expert engineers have also become the partner of choice for a number of car manufacturers looking to develop the next generation of vehicle and telematics solutions.

RDM’s new Advanced Engineering Centre was officially opened in 2014 and provides us with a dedicated facility to take on ambitious new vehicle builds and cutting-edge development work on a host of automotive components.

A £400,000 investment has fitted out the 20,000 sq ft facility with two state-of-the-art CNC machines, 3 injection moulding machines, a 3-axis router, laser engraver and the latest CAD/CAM software.

This array of latest equipment means we can offer our customers precision machining, injection moulding, surface engraving, routing and world class prototyping.

We have also set up a dedicated trim stop that can cater for ‘one off’ specials and low/medium volume line side supply.

RDM Group operates to the TS16949 global quality award for the automotive industry, a prerequisite for dealing with many of the world’s car manufacturers.
