Day David V. Day is Winthrop Professor and Woodside Chair in Leadership and Management at the University of Western Australia Business School. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), member of the Academy of Management, Asia Academy of Management, Australia-New Zealand Academy of Management, Society of Organizational Behavior, Southern Management Association, and International Association of Applied Psychology. Dr. Day has published approximately 70 journal articles and book chapters, many pertaining to the core topics of leadership and leadership development. His research has been published in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly, among other journals. Dr. Day serves as an Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Psychology, The Leadership Quarterly and Human Resource Management Review, and as an Editorial Board member for Human Performance, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Journal of Management. Dr. Day is co-editor of the book, Leader Development for Transforming Organizations: Growing Leaders for Tomorrow (Erlbaum, 2004) and author of An Integrative Approach to Leader Development: Connecting Adult Development, Identity and Expertise (Routledge, 2009). He is presently editing The Oxford Handbook of Leadership. Professor Keith Grint Keith Grint is Professor of Public Leadership at Warwick University. He has held Chairs at Cranfield University and Lancaster University and was Director of the Lancaster Leadership Centre. He spent twelve years at Oxford University and was Director of Research at the Saïd Business School and Fellow in Organizational Behaviour, Templeton College. He remains an Associate Fellow of the Saïd Business School and of Green Templeton College, Oxford. He is Academician of the British Academy of Social Sciences. He is also a Visiting Research Professor at Lancaster University, a Fellow of the Windsor Leadership Trust, a Fellow of Roffey Park, a Visiting Scholar at Sydney University, a Fellow of the Leadership Trust, a Visiting Professor at University College Suffolk, and a Visiting Professor at the Leiden University Leadership Centre, The Hague, Netherlands Keith spent 10 years in industry before switching to an academic career and has been variously employed as an agricultural labourer, a factory worker, an industrial cleaner, a removals worker, a freezer operative, a swimming pool attendant, a postman, a clerical worker, and a part-time karate teacher. Professor Rajnandini “Raj” Pillai Ph.D. Rajnandini “Raj” Pillai (Ph.D., State University of New York at Buffalo, 1994) is a Professor of Management at the College of Business, California State University San Marcos (CSUSM). She is also Executive Director and founding member of the Center for Leadership Innovation and Mentorship Building (CLIMB) at the university. Her areas of research interest are leadership and cross-cultural management. She has published her work on charismatic and transformational leadership, leadership and voting behavior, and cross-cultural differences in organizational justice in The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Management, and the Journal of International Business Studies. She has also presented her work at regional, national and international conferences and serves on the Academy of Management Teaching Themes Committee. She has also co- edited two books, Teaching Leadership: Innovative Approaches for the 21st Century (2003) and Follower Perspectives on Leadership (2007) and is co-author of the 4th and 5th editions of Understanding Global Cultures with Martin J. Gannon. She serves on the editorial board of The Leadership Quarterly. Rajnandini Pillai has held mid level management positions in the banking industry in India, consulted with organizations in the U.S. on leadership effectiveness, and conducted workshops on leadership and global issues for the local business community. She has received awards for excellence in teaching and research including the College of Business Outstanding Professor Award, the Western Academy of Management Ascendant Scholar Award, the CSUSM President’s Award for Scholarship and Creative Activity, and CSUSM’s highest faculty honor, the Harry E. Brakebill Distinguished Professor Award. Professor Robert E. Wood Robert Wood is Professor of Management and Director of the Centre for Ethical Leadership at Melbourne Business School. Robert has designed, developed and delivered programs for senior managers and provided advice to many Australian and overseas corporations, including Saudi Aramco, Dow Chemical, Telstra, P&O Ports, Dubai Ports World and the Hong Kong Government. Professor David V. Day

David V. Day is Winthrop Professor and Woodside Chair in Leadership and Management at the University of Western Australia Business School.
