The Athens International Digital Film Festival has already been travelling in many countries all over the world. This special screening in the UK is an open invitation to all young cinema lovers. In a period of international crisis filmmakers and artists have
come to show us that creativity never stops and that people involved in art are the ones who hold the keys to progress and positivity.
The festival, while progressing the idea of digital cinema, includes fiction films, documentaries, animation, video art, experimental and student films that were created
by using new digital media.
With more than 200 participants the festival took place in 8 different venues (Michael Cacoyiannis Foundation, Finnish Institute of Athens, Nixon, Hoxton, Kanji, Magaze,
Tailor Made, La Favorita). At the same time a lot of parallel events took place: art shows, concerts and a tribute night to the beloved director Nikos Nikolaidis. The audi-ence had the opportunity to watch the awarded films from both the International Vaasa
Wildlife Film Festival (Finland) and the 4th China Ya’an International Animal & Nature Film Festival.
There were also tributes to Camera Zizanio Festival and Artfools Video Festival. The 2nd Digital Short Film Festival of Athens screened more than 100 films, including 40
