TRANSITION YEAR PROGRAMME
Programme testimonials
“During Transition Year, I developed values in life such as leadership. It helped me to mature as a student athlete, on and off the pitch. It gave me the focus and confidence to reach my full potential, both academically and in rugby.” Cormac Brennan, House Captain (TY 2010/2011)
“The TY experience in CCR is very varied. I got involved in the Student Enterprise competition, Build a Bank Competition, Stock Market workshop, Schools Technology competition, Cookery, Film making, Driving lessons, First Aid and Pilates. I also completed an Accounting workshop at the Institute for Chartered Accountants and a TY taster course in Dentistry at TCD. I cannot recommend TY in CCR highly enough.” Jack Gilligan (TY 2017/2018)
“TY in CCR was an invaluable year for me. It gave me the opportunity to travel and develop a network of influential people that will “open doors” for me in my later career; the TY programme really helped to guide me in this area.” Diarmuid Kilgallen (TY 2016/2017)
“TY at CCR was definitely a worthwhile and positive experience for our sons. It gave them time to mature – they experienced lots of new challenges, travelled, had fun and broadened their view of the world and their place within it.” Shauna Meagher, Parent of Simon and Gavin
