INTRODUCTION
News has been reported recently that Johor was ranked amongst the highest cases reported for
occupational accidents as at March 2020. As a SHO Practitioners, it is our responsibility to find the
root cause on what measures has contributed to the increase number of cases. In order to ensure
Johor’s industries keep moving forward to improve and enhance the adherence of the Occupational
Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994 , FMM has taken the initiative to organise the Seminar to
empower the workers through safety and health committees to reduce accidents, injury and deaths in
workplace.
OBJECTIVES
To encourage and promote better safety and health awareness and control at workplace
To educate the participants on the importance of preventive measures in minimizing the
occurrence of occupational accident at workplace
To motivate the SHOs on how to get the management to understand the important of the
preventive measures

He was one of the Safety & Health Officer (DOSH Reg. No. JKKP IS/127/438/2/2288). He hands on experience in implementing the ISO45001, ISO14001 Environment Management System, ISO9001 Quality Management System – Lead Auditor, ISO22000 Food Safety – Management Representative as well as HSE of South East Asia (SEA) at Kerry Ingredients Asia Pacific. Founder of Southern Region Safety Practitioner with total 18 years in Manufacturing, OSH Training, Oil & Gas safety, food safety & Global training, he has substantial knowledge through hands on experience in Environmental Quality Act (EQA) 1974 and its regulation, Factory and Machinery Act 1967, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994 and its regulations, auditing skills, schedule waste management, Safety and Health Accident Investigation, HIRARC, Crisis Management Team, etc. Currently as a President of (JOSHE), Johor Occupational Safety, Health & Environmental and Vice Chairman for FMM Johor. Replacement at no additional cost. FMM reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the programme. All efforts will be taken to inform participants of the changes. Participants who did not turn-up at the events are liable for the full payment.
