AIMS– Find the speed at which the turbine

will turn – Find at what distance will the

prototype be from the source, 3D Desk Fan

– characterizing the turbine speed as the prototype is affected by a controlled wind source Horizontal Arrangement Vertical Arrangement

For Cylinder Fan:Height = 20.5 cmHeight from Bottom to middle = 10.5 cmDiameter = 16.3 cmThickness of Fan Divisions = 0.2 cmHeight of Each Division = 9.5 cm36 Divisions equally spaced.

For Top Wood:Width = 24.5 cmLength = 20.4 cmThickness = 1.85 cm

For Side Wood:Width = 20.6 cmHeight = 17.3 cmThickness = 4.2 cm

LDR Sensor LDR Sensor

LDR-Light Dependent Resistors that are very

useful in light/dark sensors. Typical resistances (at dark surrounding environment) ranges up to a 1 Mega Ohm extreme but drops dramatically almost instantaneously after being illuminated.

LDR Values ObtainedAmbient Light Resistance Value (F325

Room Light)= 6.88k ohmsDark Light Resistance Value (By covering

the upper optical sensor)= 244k ohms

Current Measurement Current Measurement

The set up is done by connecting a 200 ohm resistance (load) in series with the Multi-Meter in order to make a suitable connection for the configuration.

The experiment is done on both the motors available as connected in the prototype available.
