What charity is your favorite?
Fundraising (noun) : The organized activity or an instance of soliciting money or pledges for charitable organizations.
The U.S. has the largest system of organized private philanthropy in the world.
• If nonprofits in the U.S. were a single industry, they would rank as the nation’s largest industry, accounting for just under 10% of the workforce and about 5% of the gross domestic product.
• As of 2005, the IRS recognized more than 1.5 million tax exempt organizations.
Donor Pyramid
Annual Giving (noun): an organized effort to obtain gifts on a yearly basis to support, at least in part, general operations of a nonprofit organization.
• Direct Mail• Online Gifts• Honor / Memorials• Events• Phonathons
Major Gifts (noun): broadly speaking, those that are large relative to the majority of the gifts the organization receives.
• Programs• Restricted• Capital Campaigns• Endowments
Moves Management (noun): a proven method of coordinating relationship building activities that result in gifts.
Grant (noun): a gift bestowed by an organization for specified purposes requiring an application.
Planned Gifts (noun): any major gift, made in lifetime or at death as part of a donor’s overall financial and/or estate planning.

Annual Get Involved ExpoAt the Get Involved Expo, there will be many different non-profit organizations available to
hand out information and talk about their volunteer opportunities. Attendees will learn about the different organizations’ goals, mission, membership, and leadership
opportunities.
