Open source

Open Source Software (oss) is defined as computer software for which the source code and certain other rights normally reserved for copyright holders are provided under a software license that meets the Open Source Definition or that is in thepublic domain. This permits users to use, change, and improve the software, and tore distribute it in modified or unmodified forms.

MEANING OF HARDWAREwith acomputer. Since a computer's primary language is binary, devices are necessary to convert our input into that language. The binary code coming out of the computer must also be translated into something usable for the operator. A computer's hardware consists of the physical components necessary to operate and interact.

MEANING OF SOFTWARESoftware means computer instructions or data. Anything that can be stored electronically is software, in contrast to storage devices and display devices which are called hardware.

Software is often divided into two categories:

(A) 1. System software: Includes the operating system and all the utilities that enables the computer to function.

(B) 2. Application software

Aplication Software: is a software anybody can develop it for a particular work. Example in a glossary store we can have a application software for accounts, stock list but it cannot be used anywhere other than it.

.Application Software Includes programs that do real work users. For examples, wordproccessors, spreadsheets, and database management system fall under category of application software.

Open Source Operating System is the most important program that runs on a computer that is free to use, change, and improve the software, and to redistribute it in modified or unmodified forms. Every general-purpose computer must have an operating system to run other programs. Operating systems perform basic tasks, such as recognizing input from the keyboard, sending output to the display screen, keeping track of files and directories on the disk, and controlling peripheral devices such as disk drives and printers.

KUBUNTU LINUX

Kubuntu is an official derivative of the Ubuntu operating system which uses the KDE Plasma Desktop instead of the Unity graphical environment. As part of the Ubuntu project, Kubuntu uses the same underlying systems, every package in Kubuntu shares the same repositories as Ubuntu, and it is released regularly on the same schedule as Ubuntu. Each cell contains alphanumeric text, numeric values or formulas. A formula define show the content of that cell is to be calculated from the contents of any other cell (orcombination of cells) each time any cell is updated. Spreadsheets are frequently used for financial information because of their ability to re-calculate the entire sheet automatically after a change to a single cell is made. A pseudo third dimension to the matrix is sometimes applied as another layer, or layers/sheets, of two-dimensional data.

These new devices most often also have a much higher focus on online interactive media, Internet TV, over-the-top content, as well as on-demand streaming media, and less focus on traditional broadcast media like previous generations of television sets and set-top boxes always have had. The technology that enables Smart TVs is not only incorporated into television sets, but also devices such as set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, game consoles, and other companion devices. These devices allow viewers to search and find videos, movies, photos and other content on the web, on a local cable TV channel, on a satellite TV channel, or stored on a local hard drive.

GPS
