1.1. Project Closure A project has three stages of closure in SAP.:-
1. Techincally Complete (TECO) 2. Settlement – To be done by Accounts division 3. Capitalization - To be done by Accounts division
Prerequisites of Proejct Closure:-
1. All the WBS elements like T&C, CIVIL, PLCC etc., status must be in TECO (Technically Complete). 2. Remaining budget at Level 1 WBS element must be transferred to the lowest level Position-ID which
has a link to Level 1 WBS element. 3. All the financial entries must be closed.
Prerequisites for TECO (Technically Complete) A project is termed as Technically complete when no work is pending related to project. .It results in
1. No material procurement i.e. no material Purchase Requisition, Purchase Order can be raised. 2. No material can be transferred to project. 3. There should not be any open commitemts like PR (Purchase Requisition), PO (Purchase Orders)
against the WBS Elements like T&C, CIVIL, PLCC etc. 4. All the materials have to be issued against the project. There should not be any material left out at
each WBS Element like T&C, CIVIL, PLCC etc. This cab be checked by using T-Code: MBBS 5. Service entry sheet for external services must be completed. There should not be any open service
PO against the WBS Elements like T&C, CIVIL, PLCC etc. 6. We must have to set system status to TECO for each WBS Element like T&C, CIVIL, PLCC etc.
individually.Also it is pssoible to closed any of the WBS element individually. Please note that T&C,Civil,PLCC WBS element should be closed by respective wings only.
7. Once all the WBS has been closed by the respective wings then the complete project shall be closed by T&C.
Importance and Application of TECO status
1. After setting system status to TECO for each WBS Element like T&C, CIVIL, PLCC etc., costs can be booked against the WBS Elements but the system will give a warning message that means we can do financial entries / financial postings.
2. After setting system status to TECO for each WBS Element like T&C, CIVIL, PLCC etc., new commitments in the form of PR/PO cannot be made for that WBS element.
Following process steps need to be carried out for setting system status to TECO for each WBS Element like T&C, CIVIL, PLCC etc.
