• VPTs– Pre-production, RIE: 500 delivered to RAL, Nov 2000.– Mass production contract, RIE, Oct 2001 for 15000 tubes.– Mass production: 1500 delivered– 1200 visually inspected and 1100 tested at 1.8T, RAL– Over 60 tested at 4T, Brunel

• Full scale Endcap model– E0prime constructed at RAL, June-Oct, 2001– Capacity for 4 cantilevered SCs– Accurate modelling of slice through Dee– Dee cooling, fibre optic & HV services plane, interim cooling
