“After my first inter-
action with AIESEC
at their Internation-
al Congress in India
in 2010, I am more
than ever convinced
of the value of our
partnership. Having
interacted with AIESEC alumni who are
thriving in the Deutsche Post DHL network,
I can see strong synergies between the
cultures and values of both organizations.
I am impressed with the energy, drive and
intelligence of “AIESECers”, and I recognize
that AIESEC is a valuable source of capable,
ambitious people who are passionate about
joining Deutsche Post DHL.”

“Having worked closely with several AIESEC students, I am certain
that the partnership with AIESEC can be promoted as a truly value-
adding partnership. On a broader scale, AIESEC is an effective
channel for young people to realize their aspirations and consolidate
their future careers in the professional world, while at the same time
it provides benefit to the various partners across the globe. I have
always found AIESEC students to hold the qualities that we as HR
professionals look for: commitment, enthusiasm, integrity and
talent. They certainly enrich the culture of any organization.”

AIESEC INTERN RETENTION IN DEUTSCHE POST DHL
“When I joined the Deutsche Post DHL/ AIESEC internship pro-
gram, my manager made it clear that this was not just another
typical intern role. I was an integral part of the team, tasked with
challenging work and taking great responsibility in managing de-
manding projects. This, along with the international and dynamic
business environment provided, made the internship a truly unique
and invaluable experience. I continue to appreciate the support,
networks and opportunities that were made available within the
company during and after my internship to help me start and build
my career. The prospect of an exciting, global and challenging career
full of possibilities where I could grow and see the value of my work
made Deutsche Post DHL a desirable career option.”

AIESEC INTERNS’ PROFILE
The AIESEC difference is reflected by the competitive background of the AIESEC interns.
No matter where they are heading or where they are coming from, we make sure that
their profile is just right for the job.
“ I have been working with interns provided through the AIESEC
organization for 5 years. My experiences are very positive; several
members of our team started as AIESEC students within the
Department. The typical AIESEC student is highly intelligent,
motivated, positive and very eager to invest in and learn from DHL.
I get the best results and most value when there is frequent and hon-
est feedback between me and the student in short weekly meetings
where I can give direction and the student can show me what he or
she has done and ask questions. I strongly support and recommend
the AIESEC program!”Peter AxelssonHead of GCS Europe

“My experience with AIESEC has been very positive indeed because
of the high professionalism of the organization and its young talent.
AIESEC people are really talented individuals who learn extremely
fast; from the very beginning of their internship, they get involved in
our business, becoming reliable and valuable colleagues. This is why
I support the program.”
