Proposal for Hire Sculpt-Ur-Tree For Life Foundation Inc. Wildlife Sculpture Tree Workshop The below proposal is a basic outline description along with budget for hire of services of Environmental Tree Branch Artist Vincent Smythe of Sculpt-Ur-Tree For Life Foundation Inc. The goal, objective and purpose, is to cover the core standards for art education by teaching students how to up-cycle, recycle, and reuse materials from our environment to demonstrate visual art and greening our culture. This workshop involves the student hands- on creating a three dimensional (3D) one-of-a-kind art project that depicts wildlife in nature using a handmade pre-assembled unfinished tree branch stripped of its bark and mounted to a wooden base. The student will paint and add accessories to their artwork. This workshop provides basic fundamentals about the core learning standards for art while also providing a therapeutic alternative in helping the young and the old to improve their manual dexterity, hand & eye coordination and critical thinking abilities. The program also serves Special Needs Children and Adults. The workshops serve children ages 5 to 18 years old, adults to seniors of all genders and ethnicity. This is a great addition to your in school and afterschool programs. United States National Core Learning Standards for Art Education are addressed in the Wildlife Sculpture Tree Workshop. They are as follows: UNDERSTANDING AND APPLYING MEDIA, TECHNIQUES, AND PROCESSES USING KNOWLEDGE OF STRUCTURES AND FUNCTIONS - CHOOSING AND EVALUATING A RANGE OF SUBJECT MATTER, SYMBOLS, AND IDEAS UNDERSTANDING THE VISUAL ARTS IN RELATION TO HISTORY AND CULTURES REFLECTING UPON AND ASSESSING THE CHARACTERISTICS AND MERITS OF THEIR WORK AND THE WORK OF OTHERS MAKING CONNECTIONS BETWEEN VISUAL ARTS AND OTHER DISCIPLINES Wildlife Sculpture Tree Workshop This workshop brings an environmental awareness and appreciation to students of all ages including adults and seniors about how to use natural resources to create art. The Wildlife Tree Sculpture workshop connects students with nature using real branches. Students will select a Wildlife Sculpture Tree kit of their choice which stands from 10” to 15” inches tall that will stand-a-lone or hang on the wall. In this workshop Students will learn how to use artist tools, materials and supplies to create a 3 dimensional tree sculpture into a work of art. Students will also use hot glue to attach various small found objects such as: rocks, moss, pebbles, miniature replica birds, butterflies and insects to accessorize their artwork. Please note: All mentioned materials and supplies including acrylic paints, use of artist brushes and instruction by Vincent Smythe are included in the All Inclusive Package below. Program Schedule: One visit 90 minutes - Ages 5 - Adult
