MDT has designed and created Pureproteq® in its entirety, based on its experience of the sector.This new Pureproteq® material enhances our high qualitative standards and is manufactured inThe Netherlands using the best materials on the market.

Protection

In order to reduce the weight of our aprons we offer superlight lead composite material.This material has an average weight of 3kg/m2. The weight is based on a lead equivalent value of 0.25mm Pb.MDT achieves the most optimal protection required in each apron by using separate composite sheetswith a lead equivalency of 0.25mm Pb. This has the added advantage of maintaining a more than usual level of flexibility in the garment, perhaps more importantly, it ensures that the effect of a sandwich layered construction increases the overall lead equivalency of the apron without an increase in weight.

WARRANTYDepending on use and care, the product life of the X-ray protection garments can vary enormously. Therefore it is necessary to check the protective function on a regular basis. MDT warrants MDT X-ray protection apparel from material defects and workmanship for a period of three years from the date of purchase. Our warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accident or neglect. MDT’s obligation is hereby limited exclusively to repair and replacement of any defective products.MDT hereby disclaims all other warranties, either expressed or implied including any implied warranty of merchantability.Be sure to inspect all products at time of delivery.

CERTIFIED PROTECTIONMDT’s X-ray products are certified in conformity with the provisions of Council Directive 89/686/EEC.

Our materials guarantees maximum protection in accordance with European guideline IEC 61331-1/3 and the more recent DIN 6857.

MDT guarantees the quality of its products by means of a series of tests: attenuation, lead equivalence, weight, equalized weight, as well as material resistance and durability. These are carried out and certified by Dutch and foreign university centers, in keeping with currently applicable standards.

Apron Care & Guidelines:•CleaningThe aprons should be cleaned immediatelyafter each use, with care taken to removeall traces of contrast media and/or othercontaminating substances. Under nocircumstances should our aprons beimmersed in any liquid of subjected tocleaning with solvent based or abrasivematerials. Inadequate cleaning willshorten the useful protective life ofthe apron.•StorageDon’t fold, crease, drape or sit down inyourMDTgarments.Apronsshouldalways be stored on an appropriatestorage system.•ExaminationEach apron should be subjected tochecking by fluoroscopy at least every sixmonths to ensure no internal damage hasbeen caused to the inner protectivematerial.
