The Proton X70 is the first SUV produced by Proton and the latest of its model that underwent ASEAN NCAP assessment. The new X70 comes with six airbags as standard. Similar to other Proton’s previous models, Proton keeps to its safety benchmark by equipping the new SUV with several safety active features as standard namely Electronic Stability Control and Seatbelt Reminder System for frontal occupants. In addition, the X70 also offers other Advanced Safety Assist Technologies either as standard or as an optional equipment. With an overall score of 89.24 points, the Proton X70 has successfully obtained 5-Star ASEAN NCAP rating.

BLIND SPOT TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT

Since 2017, ASEAN NCAP has introduced Blind Spot Technology (BST) in its new protocol. In this protocol, ASEAN NCAP assessed the functionality of each BST introduced in the car. The new Proton X70 is equipped with BST on both sides of the car as an optional fitment. In this assessment, ASEAN NCAP confirms that the technology has functioned according to ASEAN NCAP requirements on both the left and right side area of the vehicle.
