B IOGR APHIES

Chris Amos (Rev. David Marshall Lee) is thrilled to join his first production with Provision Theatre Company. Chris recently played the Announcer in It’s A Wonderful Life: The Radio Play at

American Theatre Company, and has appeared at Chicago Shakespeare, Redtwist, First Folio, and The Shakespeare Project of Chicago. Regional credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Demetrius), Scapin(Octave), and The Tempest (Trinculo) at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. Chris holds an MFA in Acting from the Theatre Conservatory at Roosevelt University, and BAs in both Music and Theatre from Oklahoma State University. Thanks to Pamela.

Rod Armentrout (Charlie Baker) is honored to return to Provision Theater where he most recently appeared as Dietrich Bonhoeffer in Bonhoeffer’s Cost. He is also very excited about

becoming a new Company Member at Provision. In recent years, he has spent much of his time working as an actor with Willow Creek Community Church and the Willow Creek Association. During his time at the church, he expanded his interests into script development, directing, and actor training. While working with the Association, he had the good fortune to stretch into on-camera work and perform live in Norway, Holland, Germany, and South Africa. He is most grateful to Tim Gregory and Provision Theater for this wonderful opportunity and to his family for their constant love and encouragement.

Alex Goodrich (Ellard Simms) is excited to be back at Provision where he has performed in Cotton Patch Gospel, Smoke On the Mountain and A Christmas Carol! He was most recently

in Goodnight Moon with Chicago Children’s Theater and will be at Chicago Shakespeare next in their Short Shakespeare! Taming of the Shrew. Other Chicago credits include works at: Marriott Theater, Court, Northlight, Next, Chicago Shakespeare, Timeline, American Theater Company, and Fox Valley Rep. He is a proud member of Actor’s Equity and Barrel of Monkeys and loves his wife!

Glory Kissel (Betty Meeks) is very happy to work at Provision Theater for the first time. Her credits include many diverse roles ranging from Lettice in Lettice and Lovage

(New Harmony Theatre), to Christine in Anne Bogart’s production of Picnic (Actors Theatre of Louisville), to Cerimon in Pericles (Goodman Theatre). Glory has been seen in many musicals all over the Midwest and South ranging from Hello, Dolly!, Mame, Hairspray, Cabaret, Gypsy, Funny Girl, and The Full Monty (Little Theatre on the Square), My Fair Lady (Marriott Theatre), Anyone Can Whistle, (Ravinia Festival) and many others. She thanks Tim and Provision Theater for this wonderful opportunity.

Michael Ryan Perez (S/Sgt. “Froggy” LeSueur) is making his debut with Provision Theater and is grateful to join the family. Most recently he was seen for a third winter in Goodman Theatre’s A Christmas

Carol. Michael spent last summer touring as Leonato in Much Ado About Nothing and Antonio in Merchant Of Venice with Montana Shakespeare in the Parks, his second summer under big sky. Other Chicago credits include Marlon Brando in A Love Lost Life and Sergius in Oak Park Theatre’sArms And The Man. Bay area credits include Jim in The Glass Menagerie at Town Hall Theatre and Greg in Bleacher Bums at Contra Costa Civic Theater. Other regional credits includeRichard III, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Love’s Labours Lost, and Romeo And Juliet at Riverside Theatre’s Shakespeare Festival and two summer’s at American Players Theatre. Enjoy!

Brit Cooper Robinson (Catherine Simms) Since recently moving to Chicago, Brit has been seen in C.U.T’s Run-of-the-Mill,A Chicago Christmas at the Auditorium Theater, Promethean Ensemble’s

Bury the Dead and as the title role in Infusion Theater’s Mercury Considers the Last Layer. Orlando Shakespeare Theater credits include: Hamlet, All’s Well That Ends Well, The Weird Sisters, Medea, As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing and The Merchant of Venice. Brit holds her MFA in Acting from the University of Central Florida. Much love to my favorite and family.

Colin Wasmund (Owen Musser) is new to the Chicago area and is proud to be part of Provision Theater’s The Foreigner! For the past two years, Colin was teaching in rural Minnesota

at Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN. Prior to that, Colin receive his MFA in Acting from Western Illinois University. Recent acting credits include understudying for Provision’s Fall Production, Bonhoeffer’s Cost, Rumors (Cortland Rep Theatre), The Sweet Stuff (CBETC), Rabbit Hole (The Barn Theatre, Willmar, MN), Picasso at Lapin Agile, and All Shook Up (McLeod Summer Playhouse). Thank you all very much for coming to the show. Enjoy!

Marilyn Baldwin (Betty Understudy) has been acting and directing in theatre for over 30 years. After receiving her BA in Theatre from Loyola University, Marilyn did extensive post-graduate

work at the Goodman School of Drama. She is a founding member of Straydogs Theatre and has spent several seasons with the Renaissance Faire in Gurnee. She has performed in numerous productions for various companies throughout Chicago and has also appeared across the Midwest with the Pegasus Players Touring Company. Marilyn—who served as a Victim Advocate for Cook County—produced a film dealing with the death penalty, which was used to prepare the families of the Oklahoma bombing victims to witness the execution. Recently, she has directed for both the Southside and the Northside Irish Festivals.

Carl Lindberg (Froggy / Owen Understudy) is thankful to be a part of his first production at Provision. In Chicago, he has worked with Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, Promethean Theatre

Ensemble, Theatre-Hikes, and Citadel Theatre. Other recent regional credits include: The Mystery of Irma Vep (Lady Enid, et al.), Is He Dead? (Director), and Inspecting Carol (Director) at Festival Theatre, Hello, Dolly! (Director) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Director/Theseus) at Allenberry Playhouse, and The Rainmaker (Noah), 1940’s Radio Hour (Director), and Death and The Ploughman (Director) at the Commonweal. Carl holds a B.A. in Acting

from California State University at Stanislaus and an M.F.A. in Directing from Western Illinois University. He has trained with ensemble members from Steppenwolf, The Second City, and Shakespeare and Company.

Jason Love(David / Ellard Understudy) is excited to be working with Provision Theatre for the first time. He is a graduate of the Acting Program at DePaul University

where he earned his BFA. Favorite past roles include Christian de Neuvillette from Cyrano de Bergerac (DePaul), Billy Einhorn from The House of Blue Leaves (DePaul), and Alan from Scab (Happy Vertigo Theatre).

Erin O’Connor (Catherine Understudy) is thrilled to be working with Provision Theater for the first time. Erin recently graduated with a degree in Theatre from Western Illinois University. She will be

appearing in the Glass Onion Theatre’s upcoming production of Romeo and Juliet.

Shannon Parr (Charlie Understudy) is happy to be working on his second show with the great people at Provision Theater. Last Fall, he worked as an understudy for Bonhoeffer’s

Cost. Recent credits include Megacosm at Red Orchid, The Gray Girl at Factory Theater, Wolf at Brikenbrak and The Rainmaker at The James Downing Theater. Other credits include Mono at Surf Reality in New York, Blackbird at Mabou Mines in NY, Clubland with The Artistic Home NY, Ghosts in the Cottonwoods with Rivendell Ensemble at Victory Gardens and The Adventures of Don Quixote with Oak Park Festival Theatre. He is excited to be working with Oak Park Festival Theatre again this summer in Inherit the Wind as Rev. Jeremiah Brown and in Richard III as King Edward and Tyrell. Film credits include Indi features Fortunes and Heidi Van Lier’s Chi-Girl. Shannon has a B.A. in Theater from SIU; he trained further at Center Theatre Ensemble and is currently a master student with Mary Ann Thebus. He and his wonderful wife, Anna (his biggest fan), live in Chicago and have three beautiful daughters.

Timothy Gregory (Director) is the Founding Artistic Director of Provision Theater. Recently at Provision, he has directed productions of The Christmas

Miracle of Jonathan Toomey, Bonhoeffer’s Cost, Wonders Never Cease, Sanders Family Christmas and Godspell. Other Provision Theater directing credits include the Jefferson Award–Nominated productions of Shadowlands, The Hiding Place, C.S. Lewis On Stage, The Spitfire Grill, A Christmas Carol, Beast on the Moon and A Christmas Memory & The Thanksgiving Visitor. Other directing credits include The Comedy of Errors at Chicago Shakespeare Theater; Welcome, Yule! at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra: A Christmas Carol at Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. and Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera; Treasure Island and Alice in Wonderland at Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre; The Twilight of the Golds, The Diary of Anne Frank and Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry at the Apple Tree Theatre; Plaza Suite at the Lyric Theatre; and ’Dentity Crisis at the Studio Theatre. Tim’s acting credits include numerous roles at Provision Theater, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Steppenwolf Theatre, Cleveland Playhouse, Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre, Apple Tree Theatre, Drury Lane Oakbrook Theatre, Next Theatre Company, as well as the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta and Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. His television credits include Cupid on ABC, DeClassified on WGN and Family Practice on LIFETIME. Tim can now be seen as the host of HGTV’s New Spaces.

Inseung Park (Scenic Designer) is glad to join Provision’s The Foreigner. He designed the set for Provision Theater’s world premiere adaptation, The Hiding Place as his Chicago debut in 2010, which was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award in Scene Design - Midsize. His design credits for Provision include Godspell, Sanders Family Christmas, Shadowlands, Wonders Never Cease, and Bonhoeffer’s Cost. Other credits includes Overshadowed Theatrical Production’s Shadowlands. He has designed the set for numerous shows at Indiana University South Bend since 2006 including West Side Story, After Juliet, Midsummer Night’s Dream, Paragon Spring, Animal Farm, James and Giant Peach, and Raisin in the Sun. He designed South Bend Civic Theatre’s Grease and Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, and Looking Glass Theatre’s Springs Awakening

in New York City. One of his designs in film, Wake, was awarded a grand prize in the 2004 Kodak competition and screened internationally at Cannes International Film Festival, Cinema Texas International Film Festival, Arizona International Film Festival, and Seoul Net Festival in 2005. He holds an MFA in Scene Design at University of Texas Austin and a BFA in Scene Design at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Marly Wooster (Lighting Designer) is thrilled to be working on her first production for Provision Theater. After completing her MFA in Lighting Design from Illinois State, Marly moved to Chicago where you may have seen her work for The House of Yes with 20% Theater Company or A Christmas Carol with Citadel Theater. Marly also designed The Nutcracker for the Peoria Ballet this last December. In the summer, you will find Marly on the banks of the Mississippi designing musicals such as Altar Boyz, Big River, Drowsy Chaperone, and Evita with the Clinton Area Showboat Theater. While at Illinois State, Marly designed A Streetcar Named Desire, Measure for Measure, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying and many others. Marly would like to thank Cassie and her family for their never ending support.

Liz Meenan (Costume Designer) recently graduated from Columbia College here in Chicago with a BA in Fashion and Costume Design. She has worked for Provision in the past season as a Wardrobe Assistant for Shadowlands and Wonders Never Cease and as the Costume Supervisor for the theater for young audiences show, The Wizard of Oz. Some of her other favorite productions she has worked on are Splendora the Musical, Happy End, and The Normal Heart. She spends her spare time working as a freelance seamstress and photographer. “Enjoy the show! Blasny, blasny.”

Daniel Carlyon (Sound Designer) has been designing sound since he was fourteen, and doing it well since a few years after that. At Provision: The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey and Bonhoeffer’s Cost (Associate Designer). Macbeth (Chicago Shakespeare Theatre),and The Confidence Man (Woodshed Collective). He recently graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Theatre. He will probably have a website soon.

Jeff Shields (Props Master) moved to Chicago from Iowa City, Iowa in November of 2010. He studied Theatre Arts at the University of Iowa and worked with various Iowa-based theatres—both on-stage and back-stag—from acting to directing. He designed props for Mortar Theatre Company’s productions of Mother Bear and most recently Corazon de Manzana. This Fall, he stage managed Hell in a Handbag’s production of Pussy on the House. This Spring, he will be designing props for Raven Theatre’s Dating Walter Dante, Stage Left’s production of The Fisherman, Piccolo Theatre’s The Cherry Orchard, and Mortar Theatre Company’s production of Bombs, Babes and Bingo. www.jeffshields.net

Joe Dybdal (Technical Director) is excited to be apart of yet another Provision Theater Company show; he also worked with Provision on The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey (Props/ATD), Bonhoeffer’s Cost (Props/ATD), Wonders Never Cease (Props/ATD), Shadowlands (Props/ATD) Sander’s Family Christmas (Props), The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Production/Stage Manager/Props), and Godspell and The Hiding Place (Sound Operator). He also served as a Carpenter for all of the above shows. Joe is the resident Technical Director for City Lit Theater, where he has worked on Alice Adventures Underground, The Sign of Four and Copperhead. He is currently working with Big City Sets and Fear City where he builds for commercials and an upcoming Haunted House. Joe has also worked on set construction crews with About Face Theater, Stage Left, WildClaw Theatre, North Central College, Judson College, Marriott Lincolnshire Theater, and Christian Youth Theater. In addition to his technical experience, Joe acts on stage from time to time and is a certified Stunt Performer from The International Stunt School in Seattle.

Matthew McMullen (Production Stage Manager) is excited to be back at Provision Theater Company! Matthew has also served as Production Stage Manager on Provision’s productions of The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey, Wonders Never Cease, Shadowlands, Sanders Family Christmas and Godspell. In addition, he has just finished work as Stage Manager of Red at the Goodman Theatre. Additionally, he works as a freelance technician for various companies around Chicago, including PRG, Freeman A/V, and Harpo Studios. Matthew has also completed two tours of North America as an Assistant Electrician with Disney on Ice and worked backstage at the Marriott Theatre and Chicago Shakespeare Theater, as well as stage-managing at the Huron Playhouse—an Ohio summer theatre where he met his incredible wife, Missy. Matthew is a proud member of AEA.

Kari Warning (Production Manager/Wardrobe Supervisor/Assistant Stage Manager) is a central Illinois native who graduated with a B.A. in Theatre from Wester Illinois University. The Foreigner is her first production with Provision Theater Company, and she is very excited to be working with such a fantastic cast and crew. Kari began her stage management career in Coldwater, Michigan, for Tibbits Opera House’s 2010 summer stock season. She moved to Chicago after leaving Michigan, but returned to Tibbits for a second summer season in 2011. Some Tibbits credits include: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Crazy for You, The Full Monty, and Run for your Wife. Favorite Chicago credits include: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Stage Manager, Moraine Valley Community College), Merrily We Roll Along (Costuem Supervisor, The Musical Theatre Company), and My Fair Lady (Stage Manager, Moraine Valley Community College). Kari would like to thank her Parents, Corey, Mal, and Ryan for all of their love and support.

Cassie Mings (Master Electrician) is thrilled to be joining Provision for this production of The Foreigner! Cassie received a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from Illinois State University. At ISU, she designed the lighting for such shows as Tooth of Crime, Into the Woods, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, Don Juan Comes Back from War, and Yerma. In 2009, Cassie was the Resident Lighting Designer for Timberlake Playhouse in Mt. Carroll, Illinois where she designed Okalhoma, Curtains, The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee, Steel Magnolias,

Zachary Roberts (Casting Director) The Foreigner marks Zachary’s second show as Casting Director with Provision where he has also Assistant Directed Bonhoeffer’s

Cost and The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey. A new arrival to the Chicago theatre scene, Zachary is a recent graduate of the MFA Directing program at Western Illinois University. During the summer of 2010, he completed a casting internship with Goodman Theatre and is currently working as a Production Assistant at TimeLine Theatre. He would like to thank his wife Shannon and his daughter Lila for their continued support. Enjoy the show!
