Who takes the PSAT?Across the nation, test-takers are college bound sophomores and juniors.
College Board sets the dates.
FWISD pays for ALL sophomores and juniors to take the test.

Test ReviewsStudents will receive their test booklets in their English classes.
Teachers will review the PSAT test during their math and English classes.
Students need to bring their individual score report to class for test corrections.

How to calculate the selection index
All students receive three two-digit scores for their PSAT: Reading, Writing, and Math.
Add the three scores together and double to get the selection index.
23+20+26.5 = 69.5 x 2 = 139
10th grade students will have a selection index.
9th grade students will need to calculate their index.

Appropriate placement into classes based on your scores.
Course selection sheets will be given to students during a class meeting with the counselors.
Attend the Scheduling Expo on January 30 from 5 to 7 in the old cafeteria

Paschal Scheduling EXPO When: January 30
Time: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
Scheduling season for the 2019-2020 school year is upon us.
‘Open House’ type event and every PHS department will have representatives available at tables to answer questions. Students and parents will be able to walk freely from table to table and ask questions they have regarding PHS courses. This is your chance to come and have conversations with teachers about scheduling.
