Words of Sunshine: Northeast new members:

Dr. Sharon Anderson Lisa Corbin Diane and Jess Lewis Mary and Juan Reyna

"Give thanks for unknown blessings already on their way."

-Native American Saying

This is Bob Leary, and I am sending this message to our Parkinson’s Support Group Members to let you know that I am attempting to put together an exercise program for our group. I have been in contact with James Riddle owner of 9Round Keller. 9Round is a 30 minute kickboxing workout. Don’t let the word kickboxing discourage you from trying this out. We have had a couple of meetings and have come up with a startup plan.

On October 28, 2016 we are going to have an introduction to the program.

You are all invited to attend:

Place: 9Round Keller

Location: 900 S. Main Suite 340 Keller ,Texas 76248.

Time: 1:30 p.m.

Then for the next 4 weeks we would meet on Friday at 1:30 for the work out

at no cost. At that point we would be able to determine what day, time, and

pricing would be appropriate…

In addition on November 12, 2016 there is going to be a fund raiser

with donations going to the PSGTC

Place: 9Round Keller

Location: 900 S. Main Suite 340 Keller , Texas 76248.

Time: 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The PSGTC exercise group will not meet on November 23 or 25 during the week of Thanksgiving. There will be a Christmas/New Year’s break with no PSGTC Activities from December 21st to January 4th

News from our North Tarrant Parkinson’s Support Group

Meeting the second Tuesday of each month at 1:30 PM Bedford Public Library

Brookdale Senior Living is one of our favorite partners and we are grateful for their support and the meals and snacks provided to our members. Brookdale offers a variety of communities featuring different levels of service and support for different levels of care, with numerous communities throughout the Tarrant County area.

They strive to bring your loved one's interests to life through programs and outings that reflect their talents and personalities, while also offering new experiences that will challenge them and keep them mentally healthy. From wellness programs to cultural and social events — there are opportunities for everyone to be involved.

Refreshments for these meetings will be generously provided by Brookdale Senior Living (Peggy Barker) and Right at Home (Lori Pratt). We thank them sincerely for faithfully feeding us each month.

Our program for NOVEMBER 8th will feature Dr. Kate Leary, speaking on “An Attitude of Gratitude”, in keeping with thoughts of Thanksgiving. We will then have an opportunity for members to discuss ideas for speakers/topics for the up-coming year. There will be Care and Share meetings after the discussion

The program for DECEMBER 13th will feature a festive performance by the “Gold Tones” who will be singing hits from the 50’s and 60’s, accompanied by their or-chestra. Great refresh-ments, great entertainment – come relax and enjoy!
