PUBLIC HEARING DOCUMENTS 1.1 PUBLIC CONSULTATION Public consultation for this project was conducted on 27/01/2016 at 01:00 P.M. at Earlier Middle School, Taroda, Sarvankheda, Kanpur Dehat which was presided over by the Additional Distt. Magestrate (Admin) and attended by officers of UPPCB, Kanpur. The public hearing was attended by nearby villages, NGO & other organizations. Requisite publicity through local news papers/ media i.e. in Amar Ujala and Hindustan Times Dated 27.12.2015 was given 30 days in advance of the date; as fixed for public hearing through the Collector and State Pollution Control Board official in the matter. The views and grievances of the attendees were listened. The project proponent has given commitment to fulfil the environmental and social responsibility for development of community of nearby villages. In this report, public hearing proceedings and minutes of public hearing is included in the final EIA/EMP report and submitting to Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC), MoEF, New Delhi for Environment Clearance. 1.1 PUBLIC CONSULTATION

by us”:

and wide so that

the drain can be

easily cleaned.

project is big

and organized,

hence there will

not in favour of

installation of Leather

tannery unit.

industrial area.

The water flows

through our

village

Taraunda.

(a) Proposed unit is going to

follow best practices for

tanneries and will be a ZLD

unit due to a proper ETP

system which will be based

on Physico-chemical,

Biological treatment, RO &

MEE. There will be no flow

of waste to villages due to

operation of proposed

project. It will be ensured

that no water will be

discharged outside the

unit.

village residents of village

sherpur Taraunda,

Pargana & Teh. Akbarpur,

Janpat, Kanpur, Dehat. In

the letter, the villagers

requested that they are

resident of Vill. Sherpur

Taraunda and RSPL

planning to open leather

industry on the land of

their village. The villagers

have land just behind the

plot boundary of this

industry in which they

grow crop for livelihood/

After that chairman summarized the meeting by assuring to the to consider all the facts raised

in the meeting shall be forwarded at competent level. The Public Hearing proceedings as

recorded by UPPCB have been given in Enclosure-3 of EIA report document.
