• Implement an integrated ticketing system- according to a survey, the diversity of ticketing system to use a different range of public services have reduced the interest of consumers- govt. should establish a Public Transport authority (PTA) to manage public transport in our country- take an example implementation in Melbourne,

Australia

• Increase the quantity and quality of public transport

- no. of trains or public buses should be enhanced to meet the total needs of the people

- overcome the problem of lack of public transport in some areas

- KTM train service should be modeled in Japan which used electric power eg; Shinkansen

• Government encouraging the installation of television

- the move would entertain people on their way- have to be expanded in other public transport such as commuter and LRT to attract more passengers

• Recorder must be installed on public transport in the country

- can record the things that happen along the way besides the speed of public transport

- help reduce the public transport that is driven too fast to exceed the limit

- can reduce the rate of road accidents

• Management sensitivity - public transport operators must be

sensitive to the downstream facilities for those who use the service

- eg; in the LRT stations, extra parking should be provided for consumers to park their vehicles

- problems not only can lead to congestion but can cause road accidents
