Our intention was to create an umbrella that communicate the urge to make this simplier, inspired by nature and by every day objects, we took a path that lead us to something incredible.

We started researching all kind of actual umbrellas and this lead us to the conclusion that an umbrella was an object that contains so many parts and ensambles that make them really weak and almost imposible to fix if they break. The handle on the other hand was the biggest piece of the umbrella and in most of the cases it had no other use than to hold the umbrella and give stability.

Then we started to think about the mecha-nism that holds the umbrella, it was so com-plicated that we got a headache just to think about it, so we had a brilliant idea. Not to use it. Instead we started to come up with alter-native solutions. Less is more.

Designed to beat the wind, block the rain and avoid lightning strikes. The inflatable pentagon does it all.
