No waxGrabo fl oorings have reduced cleaning requirements. Enviromental impact is lessened by: no energy needs for waxing, reduced energy needs for cleaning, reduced cleaning agent use, reduced water use, and reduced wastewater generation.

Reduced lifecycle costOver the extended lifespan of Grabo fl oorings installation competing fl oors may need to be replaced 2 times resulting in negative environmental impacts such as energy use for removal and disposal of the existing fl oor; energy and resource use involved in new product manufacturing, transportation and installation; and fi nally the additional cost of the new installation.

No surface is more at risk of contamina-tion than the fl oor. In healthcare one of the most important steps in reducing the spread of infectious diseases is the clean-ing and sanitizing of surfaces. Routine cleaning with detergent and water is use-ful for removing visible dirt and germs, but fl oor coverings require an additional per-formance to reduce the number of germs.Therefore Grabo invented graboSAN, the anti-microbe additive contained surface treatment against mold, fungi, yeast, al-gae and bacteria. The result of the test method given in the International Standard ISO 846:1997 certify that no signifi cant microbe growth could be observed on the graboSAN surface treated fl oors. The tests have been carried out with the Pseu-domonas aeruginosa bacterium, which is one of the most common pathogens in-volved in hospital infections causing pneu-monia, and with Aspergillius niger fungus, which causes a disease called black mold on certain fruits and vegetables.

Answering to the today’s healthcare dif-fi culties, independent Clinical Research tests certify that Grabo products with graboSAN inhibit the growth of MRSA (Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus au-reus) and C.diffi cile (Clostridium diffi cile) bacteria, which are responsible for diffi -cult-to-treat infections in humans because its resistance to certain antibiotics. Due to the surface treatment with graboSAN these fl oor coverings can be qualifi ed as resistant surface to bacteria and mildew. However the best defence beyond the sanitized surface is an eective cleaning with disinfecting agents. Grabo fl oorings due to its extreme resistant surface can be cleaned with wide range of disinfective cleaning agents without any problems. (see the extreme good stain results and maintenance instructions.).With the help of Grabo vinyl sheet fl oor-ing treated with graboSAN microbes can be easily localized and eliminate before causing infections.

TECH Surface

CLP is a complex system built up of PVC and cross linked polymer. Its essentiality is, on one hand - against other technical solutions - that CLP ensures throghout the intensive usage the constant para-meters not only on the surface, but in the cross section of the wear layer: the dura-

bility of the product increases, which in-volves that the degree of wear and tear decreases. On the other hand due to the high density of the cross links, CLP dimin-ishes the adhesion of the contamination on the surface, substantially improving the cleanibility of the fl ooring.
