Arena Throwdown qualifier workout 2 is a two part work out which is 21, 15 and 9 repetions for time of front squats and bar facing burpees with a 12 minute time cap. Upon completing the front squats and burpees for time the Elite and advanced athletes may use all the time remaining to establish a one rep max clean. Your time to complete the work out And your heaviest clean will be entered as two separate scores.

While performing the front squats the athlete must squat down below parellel for a completed repetition

Prior to starting the burpees the bar must be place purbandandiclar to the line. Each repetition of the burpee starts with the athlete facing the bar with their chest an tighs touching the ground. The athlete must jump over the bar and land with the both feed at the same time. Athletes may jump up or step up while getting up from the ground

After the front squats and burpees the teens and scaled athletes are done. The Elite and Advanced athletes may use all the time remaining to establish a one rep max clean. This can be power or squat cleans. Your time to complete the first part of the workout and your heaviest clean will be entered as two separate scores

SCOREThe athletes score is the time needed to complete the 21-15-9 repetitions.

SCORE UPLOAD & VALIDATIONSScore uploads need to be finalized before May 12th 23:59H in the WODCAST system. From your profile you can appoint a judge to become your validator.. He/she needs to validate your score and has untill May 13th 23:59H to do so. We recommend this to be for instance the coach from your own Box.

We advice you to use VIMEO as your video upload platform, but you are free to use Youtube as well. Make sure so that your video is set to allow for public viewing and in case of using Youtube, be sure you are allowed to submit videos longer then 15 minutes.

MOVEMENT STANDARDS

FRONT SQUATS BAR FACING BURPEES

POWER OR SQUAT CLEANS

The burpee must be performed perpendicular to and facing the barbell. The athlete will jump the feet back so that he or she is lying on the ground. the chest and thighs touch the ground at the bottom. The athlete must jump over the barbell from both feet and land on both feet. Single legged jumping or stepping over is not permitted. The barbell must be loaded with standard size bumper plates for the athlete to jump over. except for scaled athletes, who may use their empty barbell

Every repetition of the front squat must have the athlete pass below parallel, where the hip crease is clearly below the top of the knee, and finish with the athlete standing to full extension of the knee and hip. When taking the bar from the floor, the first repitition may be done in a squat clean. If an athlete fails to achieve proper depth or commits any other range of motion error without dropping the barbell, the athlete may attempt that repitition again.

The power clean or squat clean may be used as long as the barbell starts from the ground and comes up to the shoulders, with the hips and knees fully extended, the feet in line and the elbows in front of the bar.
