Siemens presents initial product highlights on its websites to ease product selection for your application. In addition, Siemens Industry Online Support provides comprehensive application examples. The configurators for products and systems represent another helpful tool for selecting the suitable components.

The respective configurator determines the suitable prod-uct or system for your requirements with only few mouse-clicks. Simply enter the relevant parameters and select your solution.

Relevant product data for the mechanical and electrical design process are provided for the configured solution, e.g. 3D models, circuit diagrams, certificates and operat-ing instructions. Moreover, the resulting product list can be exported to Excel or placed in the shopping basket of the Siemens Industry Mall for order placement.

The configurators are available online in the Siemens Industry Mall and offline in the CA01 Catalog. Product selection has never been faster, clearer, or easier.

The highlight for EPLAN users

In the CAx Download Manager, Siemens offers a special exchange format for users of EPLAN Electric P8: EPLAN Data Archived Zipped (.edz). This allows for further time savings in terms of data integration.

All product data required for configuration, ordering, and documentation are already contained in this exchange format.

The data can be imported for any amount of order num-bers and remain interlinked, facilitating easy and rapid distributed representation of the installed Siemens prod-ucts on the circuit diagram pages.

You can also integrate our comprehensive CAx data in other CAE systems such as E³.series, WSCAD, ELCAD, COMOS, etc.

For my project, I have to prepare standard-compliant documentation, and require certificates for export abroad. How can I rapidly and easily compile all required documents?

According to standards*, the documentation forms part of the system and is subject to certification. The purchaser thus has a right to be provided with a complete system documentation.

To support you with this, we developed a manual con- figurator for the realization of individual and standard-compliant documentation – in accordance with the respective project-specific requirements.

You can select the chapters relevant for the respective project from the available manuals of installed Siemens components. You can also integrate FAQ, certificates, data sheets, and user-specific content. This ensures the documentation’s perfect matching to individual requirements, allowing for easy retrieval of information.
