They dishonestly snap just few words from a certain verse and left the other words which stipulate certain conditions for fighting . In this presentation we will quote the words( the incomplete verses) they use to propagate their mendacious claims, the incomplete verse they use will be in red and then we will mention the whole verse in yellow leaving the snapped words in red.

The Christian missionaries in their frenzied attempts to picture Islam as "a religion of violence" always cite some verses from the Holy Quran to prove this fallacy .

O Prophet, urge the believers to battle

O Prophet, urge the believers to battle. If there are among you twenty [who are] steadfast, they will overcome two hundred. And if there are among you one hundred [who are] steadfast, they will overcome a thousand of those who have disbelieved (because they are a people who do not understand. (8:65


And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression

And fight them on until there is no more tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in Allah altogether and everywhere; but if they cease, verily Allah doth see all that they do. (8:39)


Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.(8:60)

And slay them wherever ye catch them

fight ye against the friends of Satan

Those who believe fight in the cause of Allaah, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan. (4:76)


Then fight in Allah's cause….and arouse the believers

Rescue us from this town, whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from thee one who will protect; and raise for us from thee one who will help!" (4:74-75)

“ 5: But when these months, prohibited (for fighting), are over, slay the idolaters wheresoever you find them, and take them captive or besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every likely place. But if they repent and fulfil their devotional obligations and pay the zakat, then let them go their way, for God is forgiving and kind. 6: If an idolater seeks protection, then give him asylum that he may hear the word of God. Then escort him to a place of safety, for they are people who do not know.


7: How could there be a treaty between idolaters and God and His Apostle, except those you covenanted by the Sacred Mosque? Therefore as long as they are honest with you be correct with them, for God loves those who are godly. 8: How (can they be trusted)? If they prevail against you they will neither observe pacts nor good faith with you. They flatter you with their tongues, but their hearts are averse to you, for most of them are iniquitous. (9:5-8)

Completion of the verses


So smite them on their necks and every joint

And the Lord said to the angels: "I am with you; go and strengthen the faithful. I shall fill the hearts of infidels with terror. So smite them on their necks and every joint, (and incapacitate them)," (12)For they had opposed God and His Apostle; but whosoever opposes God and his Apostle (should know) that God is severe in retribution. (8:13)

had begun [the attack upon] you the first

time? Do you fear them? But Allah has more

right that you should fear Him, if you are

if they break their oaths after their treaty and defame your religion, then fight the leaders of disbelief, for indeed, there are no oaths [sacred] to them; [fight them that] they might cease.
