Additionally, the SCN contains information about the change impact. The latestversion of this SCN is always available on the Honeywell Process Solutions website.

Following are the new features introduced with this patch:

• One channel per PLC implementation in MLServer. Refer to the MasterLogic-Experion Integration User'sGuide, for more details.

• Support for custom installation path. If you have installed HS R410.1 in a user defined location (custominstallation path), MLServer is also installed in the same path.

• Message prompting to type the ‘mngr password’ during any new configurational change in MLServer.

1.3.1 PrerequisitesExperion HS R410.5 can be installed on a node on which Experion HS R410.1 is installed.

1.3.2 Applicable nodesExperion HS R410.5 is applicable for all the Experion nodes.

1.3.3 Verifying the present version

To verify the present version1 Using Notepad, open the ProductVersion.txt file located in the following path.

<%User selected path%>\Honeywell\Experion PKS (for example, C:\Program Files(X86)\Honeywell\Experion PKS)

2 Verify the ProductVersion.txt for the following:If the following line is present, then the node has the appropriate product version to install this patch.

+Experion PKS R410.1 Scada Server (or ‘Scada Client’ based on the node) install completed onMM/DD/YYYY, HH:MM:SS AM/PM.

1.3.4 Copying Experion HS R410.5Perform the following steps.

1. Copy the Experion_HS_R410_5.zip file to a temporary folder on your hard disk.2. Extract the Experion_HS_R410_5.zip file.3. Copy the extracted files to a temporary folder on your hard disk.

TipFor example, copy the files to C:\temp\update.

2.1 Installing the patch on non-redundant server node

AttentionInstalling the patch on a non-redundant server leads to a loss of view.

PrerequisitesBefore installing the patch, perform the following steps.1 Log on to the server using an account that is part of both the Windows Administrators and Product

Administrators group.

Attention• Ensure that you log on with the mentioned required privileges.• If ML Channel is configured, take a note of the MLPLC IP and configuration details from the ML

Configuration form. These details must be manually entered after the patch installation.

2 Disable all virus scan/protection/backup applications or services. Both the Symantec LiveState Recoveryservice and the DVM Logger service, if present, must be disabled.

Attention• You must enable the services after completing the procedure.• If you have installed MasterLogic Server, disable the MasterLogic channel. After the patch installation, you

can enable the channel again.

3 Close all the running applications.4 Stop all running services. To stop services:

a In Windows Explorer, go to <install_drive>\Program Files (x86)\Honeywell\Experion PKS\Utilities\SSServices.• For custom installation path, go to <User selected path>\Honeywell\Experion PKS\Utilities

\SSServices.b Right-click SSServices.exe and then click Run as Administrator.

If the User Account Control dialog box appears, click Yes to continue.

The Experion PKS Services Control Panel appears.5 Select Stop All Services and then click OK.

To install the patch1 Ensure that you are logged on using an account that is part of both the Windows Administrators and Product

Administrators group.2 Browse to the folder containing the installer Experion_HS_R410_5 > supportsoftware.exe .

AttentionIf the installation is from the network then map the location where the installer folder is located to the networkdrive.

To map the drive:

1. In the command prompt, as an Administrator, type the following command.

net use <drive>: \\computername\share\<folder> (for example, net use Z: “\\199.63.5.151\temp\Experion HSR410.5”)

2. Type the user name and password (must be in quotes if there is a blank).3. In the same command prompt window, change to the above mapped drive and run supportsoftware.exe.

3 Right-click supportsoftware.exe and then click Run as Administrator. If the User Account Controldialog box is displayed, click Yes to continue.

The Welcome to Experion HS Update Manager dialog box appears.4 Click Install to start the Experion HS R410.5 installation.

Attention• During the installation, when the system restarts, manually log on to the system with the required credentials

to continue with the installation.• If the installation is being performed from the network, after each system restart, map the drive to continue the

installation. To map the drive, perform the steps as given in the Attention of Step 2.

5 Follow the on-screen instructions and click Finish. The node restarts after the installation is complete.

To validate the patch installation• To verify if Experion HS R410.5 is installed, perform the following steps:

a Using Notepad, open the ProductVersion.txt file located in the following path.C:\Program Files(X86)\Honeywell\Experion PKS

Or

<User selected path>\Honeywell\Experion PKSb Verify the ProductVersion.txt for the following:

+Experion HS R410.5 Install completed on MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS AM/PMIf the above line is present, it indicates that the installation is successful.

Post-installation tasks1 Log on as a member of Windows Administrators and Product Administrators group.2 Click Start > All Programs > Honeywell Experion PKS > Server > Station to start the station.

AttentionIf you have installed MasterLogic Server, disable the MasterLogic channel.

After the patch installation, you can enable the channel again.

3 Enable all virus scan/protection/backup applications or services. Both the Symantec LiveState Recoveryservice and the DVM Logger service, if present and disabled, must be enabled.

4 If ML Channel is configured, perform the following:a Open the ML PLC configuration form in Server B and configure the IP address and PLC configuration

details. Save the ML configuration. Ignore the error message that appears while saving the configuration.b Open QuickBuilder and then select the ML channel.c In the lower pane, select the appropriate ML Channel ID from the drop-down list.d Save the configuration and then download the channel to the server.e Enable the MasterLogic channel from the station.

2.2 Installing the patch on redundant serverFor redundant servers, you must first install the patch on Server B and then on Server A.

2.2.1 Installing the patch on Server B

PrerequisitesBefore installing the patch, perform the following steps.1 Log on to the server using an account that is part of both the Windows Administrators and Product

Administrators group.

Attention• Ensure that you log on with the mentioned required privileges.• If ML Channel is configured, take a note of the MLPLC IP and configuration details from the ML

Configuration form. These details must be manually entered after the patch installation.

2 Confirm that Server A is primary.3 Turn off file replication of the mapping files as well as the Abstract folder.

a In Station, click Configure > File Replication. Do not change the Send check box in this display.b Click mapping entry.

The configuration page for mapping file replication entry appears.c Clear Replicate files from this path check box.d Click Save.e In Station, click Configure > File Replication. Do not change the Send check box in this display.f Click abstract entry.

The configuration page for the abstract file replication entry appears.g Clear Replicate files from this path check box.h Click Save.

To remove MLServer• To remove Honeywell MLServer, perform the following steps:

a Click Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features.b Under Uninstall or change a program select Honeywell MLServer and then click Uninstall.

Post-removal tasks1 Restart the server and log on as Windows Administrator and Product Administrator.2 Perform the following steps to install ML Server:

a In the installation media, go to PACKAGES\MLDP\MLServer.exe .b Right-click MLServer.exe and then click Run as administrator.

3 Perform the following steps to install HMIWeb Station and Display Builder Patch:a In the installation media, go to PACKAGES\SERVERCLIENT\STATION\HMIWeb Station and Display

Builder.msp .b Open Command Prompt as a user with Administrator privileges and then type: msiexec.exe -p

9 Enable all virus scan/protection/backup applications or services. Both the Symantec LiveState Recoveryservice and the DVM Logger service, if present and disabled, must be enabled.

3.3 Removing the patch from Flex station

PrerequisitesBefore removing the patch, perform the following steps.1 Disable all virus scan/protection/backup applications or services. Both the Symantec LiveState Recovery

service and the DVM Logger service, if present, must be disabled.

AttentionYou must enable the services after completing the procedure.

2 Stop all running services. To stop services:a In Windows Explorer, go to <install_drive>\Program Files (x86)\Honeywell\Experion PKS\Utilities

\SSServices.• For custom installation path, go to <User selected path>\Honeywell\Experion PKS\Utilities

\SSServices.b Right-click SSServices.exe and then click Run as Administrator.

If the User Account Control dialog box appears, click Yes to continue.

The Experion PKS Services Control Panel appears.3 Select Stop All Services and then click OK.4 Close all the running applications.

To remove the patch• Perform the following steps to remove Experion HS R410.5.

a Click Start > All Programs > Honeywell Experion PKS > Maintenance Tool. Right-click and thenclick Run as Administrator.
