RACK ACCESS GUIDELINES 1. If at the time of your login to the terminal server, when you execute the “who” command and you see any other username logged in and it is your legitimate session time, kindly execute a “clear line vty number”. 2. You are kindly requested to delete the configuration of the devices in the rack being accessed at the beginning of your session. 3. If you encounter the following error on the Nexus 7K, DC1-N7K-1(config) # vdc DC1-N7K-3 ERROR: VDC create failed: License restrictions precludes further vdc creation Kindly execute the following command:- DC-N7K-1(Config) #license grace-period And then go ahead and define the VDC (Virtual Device Contexts). 4. If one cannot define VLANs within the system context, kindly create custom VDC/ non-default VDC and then execute a switchto vdc name_of_non_default_vdc in the privileged EXEC mode. VLAN definitions would be supported within the non-default VDC that has to be created. I hope this clarifies your doubt as I have tested the same from my end. I would gladly look forward to assisting you further should you face any further difficulties. 5. If your credentials are not working at the beginning of your session, kindly wait for 5 minutes before re-attempting the same as a clock delay could error in time-based activation of your credentials. If one is still unable to access, kindly inform the administrator whose support details have already been provided. 6. If you are accessing the rack using the factory default configuration, kindly set the username as admin and password as Cciedc01 or the username as admin and the password as cciedc01 depending on whether strength check has been enabled or not on the Nexus/MDS switch in discussion.
