Rainforests are hot, humid places. A rainforest is really squished with lots of trees and animals. Half of the animals in our world live in a rainforest.

Rainforests are found near the equator. This is because the weather is hot near theEquator and rainforests are hot places.

What does a rainforest look

like?A rainforest has trees, it looks green all the time. There are 4 main layers in the rainforest. They are : FOREST FLOOR, UNDERSTOREY, CANOPY AND EMERGENT. Most of the animals live in the canopy.

What lives in a rainforest?

All sorts of animals and plants live in the rainforest. On the Forest Floor you will see an Ocelot because it likes the dark and it can camouflage. In the Understorey you will find a large snake waiting for its prey. In the canopy there will be lots of animals, like macaws, monkeys, sloths, chameleons, toucans and other snakes.
