Raising efficiencyTRADITIONS, CHALLENGES AND EXPERIENCES
our global company emerged from the rough environment of Northern Europe
More than a thousand years ago, the Vikings were seafarers who
settled in wide areas of Europe, Asia, and the North Atlantic islands.
They made and used wooden longships with wide, shallow-draft
hulls, designed for speed and allowing navigation in rough seas or
in shallow river waters. The ships could be landed on beaches, and
their light weight enabled them to be hauled over portages. These
versatile ships allowed the Vikings to settle and travel long distances.
This period known as the Viking Age, constitutes an important element
of the medieval history of Scandinavia, the British Isles, France, Sicily
and Russia.
In many ways, the Hanseatic League took over the seas from the
Vikings. For centuries they dominated trade in Northern Europe. A
number of trading cities with efficient organization, strong cohesion
and large ships, decided to collaborate, and became a joint force.
With its fleet of armed vessels, the Hanseatics could provide safe
and efficient freight transport. A true pioneer spirit permeates the
maritime history of Northern Europe. At TTS, we devote ourselves to
keeping the spirit alive by constantly developing new technology to
make operations at sea more efficient.
Today, we like to think that the inventive capabilities of our ancestors
are still a part of our DNA.

Based on traditions and decades of experience…
a worldwide workforce, today offers equipment solutions and services for the marine and offshore industries
Marine solutions that always enable
vessels to operate at maximum capacity
The marine industry has been at the core of TTS’ activities since
the business was founded. Operations cover RoRo equipment, deck
equipment, shipyards and heavy handling with solutions for a wide
range of ships, like general cargo, bulkers, containerships, tankers,
RoRo, PCTC, RoPax, cruise ships and naval vessels.
At the forefront of design and supply of marine,
offshore and heavy lift cranes
TTS delivers all types of cranes. Recently TTS has succeeded in
focusing on better and safer solutions for load handling in rough and
deep waters. Our Active Heave Compensated cranes have influenced
the standard for the industry. The product portfolio also includes
container, multipurpose, heavy lift, knuckle boom, telescopic boom,
cylinder luffing, bulker, deck and offshore cranes.
Global service network to help you get
the most value from your assets
TTS’ global service network facilitates a network of service experts
and available spare parts from European centers where the customers
are located. With qualified, experienced engineers at key locations
worldwide, we can support your equipment wherever needed at a

A mindset that makes your operations more efficient
TTS offers solutions that increase profitability and competitiveness
by improving productivity, quality and system capacities. We aim
to work closely with our customers to devise intelligent and
innovative solutions.
Based on the mindset of our experienced engineers and the use of
best practices, we provide safe, competitive and cost efficient
applications to match the needs of your business.
We interact with our clients – and their industrial environment
The all-round expertise of the group provides us with a solid foundation
on which to deliver top notch, customized solutions. The close, flexible
work relations within the group, enables us to work closely with
our clients.
The TTS Ship Transfer systems illustrate the way we work. The system
secures lifting of vulnerable ships from the water, to installations on
shore. The ships such as submarines, and naval vessels, are safely
moved without strain injuries. The technology is based on fluid
beds, utilizing oil flowing from different points under the
vessel to best distribute the weight.

Delivery in time; in line with expectations, is the major currency
Our experience is that every link in our internal value chain should
consider the next one to be a customer. The impact in the end is
extremely positive. Whether these are solutions for marine, services
or offshore.
Efficient systems for loading, unloading and keeping cargo safe Major ship-owners of the world are now building new ships featuring
critical innovations from TTS. Taking advantage of the new width of
the Panama Canal enables supersized car carriers to stack as many
cars as possible in the safest and most efficient manner.
TTS is committed to a renewable future and welcomes the opportunity to innovateThe ever-changing situation within offshore wind – greater distances
and larger parts – presents a number of logistical challenges. For this
purpose, TTS has developed a leg encircling heavy-lift offshore
crane; a typical example on reliable, safe and innovative
solutions for the offshore wind energy sector. Furthermore,
long-standing experience and a thorough understanding of
heavy-lift cranes, makes us a reliable partner in the heavy cargo
lifting, and offshore wind sectors.
The key to Return On Investment comes from our services network We believe that the best quality of aftercare is the key to helping our
customers get a good return on their investment in our equipment.
Therefore, we invest heavily in our support network to ensure that our
clients get the most value from their assets.

Exploring cultures of prosperity
Building lasting relationships with major players
In TTS, we combine the best from two worlds. It’s a mutual
dependency.
Not just a matter of technology, or cost efficiency, but a deeper
understanding of culture. A strong presence from Europe in
China and Korea constitutes a common force that meets our end
users; European network combined with strong Asian relations.
Often, production and engineering in Asia combined with innovation,
conceptual development and Key account management from
Europe, is the foundation of a long and lasting relationship.
Today, China is the world’s leading shipbuilding nation. To TTS, China
is in fact a partner and center for exploration; our joint
ventures with China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) and
China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC), have made
TTS the market leader for marine equipment.
In China, TTS is present at the world’s technological frontiers,
where we are building lasting value for our shareholders. The
operational challenges and need for technological innovations
are huge.
We believe cultivating these relations is extremly valuable.

How to secure cargo-handling solutions that handle all types of cargo – safely
Imagine a reefer ship docking at Rotterdam loaded with mangos and
other exotic goodies. Unloading is handled efficiently without any
damage to the fragile delights, and by the next day, the ship can start
loading passenger cars. This is now a reality with the TTS versatile
side-loading systems. Being able to carry out careful unloading of
fruit to be followed by safe loading of passenger cars, has set a new
standard throughout harbors of the world.
Technology that works at both sea level and subseaOperating vessels and equipment in the roughest waters on earth
brings on challenges that require extremely advanced software.
The Active Heave Compensation, AHC, software has been developed
to provide a method that simulates wave cycles, which enables
cranes and winches to operate with extreme accuracy.

Innovative solutions for a better future
TTS develops technology that makes things more efficient. For many
industrial players such innovations mean they simply can postpone
the renewal of their fleet; a very cost-effective strategy.
For ship-owners, TTS innovations avoid harmful environmental
scrapping processes as well. Thus, TTS has been an important player
for the emergence of the so-called ‘green scrapping’ concept. It’s
the combination of ship-lifting technology and ship transfer systems
that gives sustainable routines for dismantling of ships and safer
disposal.
Raising efficiencyOur history and achievements have formed a mindset for the future.
Whatever the challenge, our aim is to develop technology that
contributes to profitable growth and a sustainable economy.
We work harder to understand your business. All our solutions, and
services, are designed to increase our client’s productivity and
profitability. Making it more efficient.
