Ramayan is one of India's best-loved stories and has been depicted in paintings and sculpture for centuries. It is still re-enacted in dramas and even on television to this day.

RavanRavan who is the demon king of Lanka.He is mainly depicted
negatively, infamously kidnaping Rama's wife Sita, to claim
vengeance on Ram and his brother Lakshman for having cut off
the nose of his sister Surpanakha.

RamHe is pictured as the ideal man and the perfect human. For the
sake of his father's honour, Rama abandons his claim to throne
to serve an exile of fourteen years in the forest.
Hanuman
HanumanHanuman is a vanara belonging
to the kingdom of Kishkindha. He
is portrayed as an incarnation of
the god Shiva (the Eleventh
Rudra) and an ideal bhakta of
Ram.
He plays an important part in
locating Sita and in the ensuing
battle.
