History

The founder of Grupo Romero, Calixto Romero, bought straw hats for hats in Guayas and ventured into cotton industry (Piura-1920).

Logistics operator Ransa arrived in Guayaquil and Quito. A year later, Alicorp opened operations in Ecuador. In 2006 it acquired Shell stations and transformed them into Primax.

He bought Eskimo ice cream and then formed an alliance with Tonicorp for the sale of ice cream.

He sold his Heladosa shares to Tonicorp. That same year, Alicorp inaugurated the balanced plant Inbalnor.

◦At the inauguration of a new distribution center of the latter firm, it was recalled the importance of the Ecuadorian market. "We then went into the agricultural business through the cotton ... and the market was obviously northern Peru, but also Ecuador. We have always been welcomed with our products and our investments," said Romero Paoletti.
