This process requires the most up to date version of Rand Dock to complete.

Updat ing your Rand McNal ly SDcard wi th the Rand Dock Appl icat ion

Before attempting this procedure, please read this document fully to ensure correct step by step process

PC RAND McNALLY SD CARD UPDATE PROCESS

Note: The Rand McNally Dock application is required to preform the update process as well as an internet

connected computer with an SD card port or Card Reader.

UPDATING RAND McNALLY SD CARD

Remove your Rand McNal ly SD card f rom the X i te rad io . and make sure the LOCK tab i s in the up pos i t ion towards the word LOCK.

Download the Rand Dock Software here:https://www.randmcnally.com/support/s/dock-software. Be sure your machine meets the requirements. Note: .net Framework for Windows may need to be installed. You must also have a functioning SD Card Reader available.

3. Inser t the Rand McNal ly SD card in to your SD Card Reader

4. Ins ta l l the sof tware on to your computer .

5. I f you rece ive a Defect ive Card warn ing , p lease fo l low the on-screen ins t ruct ions .

6. Open the Rand Dock sof tware ( i f i t i s not a l ready running) and fi l l in the reg is t ra t ion in format ion . Note: th i s wi l l not be requ i red i f you have a l ready reg is tered wi th the sof tware . When complete c l ick the Submit Icon.

7. Click the OK button.

8. Se lect the Reg is ter for L i fe t ime Maps opt ion . Note: th i s opt ion wi l l not be ava i lab le i f you have a l ready reg is tered wi th Rand McNal ly and i s normal .

9. Click the Submit button.

10. Click the OK button.



11. You wi l l be returned to the main screen.

12. Cl ick the Map Update Ava i lab le opt ion . Note: i f your dev ice i s a l ready up to date th is wi l l show “Your Dev ice I s Up to Date” see s tep 18 .

13. Cl ick the Beg in Download but ton

14. This i s a la rge download and may take some t ime.



15. When complete click Install Update.

16. The update wi l l now t ransfer to your Rand McNal ly Card .

17. When complete h i t the Back but ton Ar row icon in the top le f t corner .



18. You should now see Your Device Is Up To Date.

I t i s suggested that you synchronize your Rand McNal ly SD card before each t r ip to mainta in the most recent in format ion inc lud ing const ruct ion data etc . Th is i s done by c l ick ing the Update Ava i lab le opt ion when the card i s inser ted whi le the Rand Dock i s runn ing .

19. Return to the rad io and s tar t i t w i thout ins ta l l ing the Rand McNal ly SD card . Wai t for i t to complete boot ing and go to the Main Menu. Se lect Nav i and when the app asks for the SD card re inser t i t in to the SD Card S lot .
