At the centre of Ranmoor/Endcliffe is The Edge and The Ridge. At The Edge you’ll find a café, dining room, bar, cashpoint and launderette, as well as a Customer Services reception. At The Ridge, there is a café- bar, launderette and a Customer Services reception. There’s also a store on site selling food, drink and household items. Environment We are committed to being environmentally responsible and encourage our residents to do the same. There are a number of recycling points across the residences for glass, cans, plastics, paper and card. For further information about environmental initiatives visit: www.sheffield.ac.uk/accommodation/ current/environment or email greenteam@sheffield.ac.uk Travel & transport The residences are conveniently located within walking distance of the University and city centre. There are designated “green routes” linking the residences with the University and we advise you to use these when walking or cycling between the two. The green routes are well-lit and regularly patrolled by Security. There is a taxi rank at the bottom of Endcliffe Crescent, between Stanage Car Park and the Endcliffe Paddock which operates 6pm–6am during term time. If you bring a bicycle with you, there are secure storage facilities located across the residences. Ask at your Customer Services reception to find out where your nearest storage facility is and how to gain access. Car parking in the residences is limited and you must display a valid Category R permit, Conference permit or pay and display ticket dependent on the car park you are using. Category R permits are available for a yearly charge of £120 from Room and Parking Services. To apply for a Category R permit, visit www.sheffield.ac.uk/parkingservices. Conference permits are available from withUS or your event organiser. Please note, having a valid car parking permit does not guarantee a parking space. The residences are well served by public transport with frequent bus services to the University and city centre. For more information on routes and timetables, visit www.travelsouthyorkshire.com The residences are located in a residential area just outside the city centre. Our location means we’re surrounded by privately owned houses, schools and businesses. We’re committed to building and maintaining good community relations so please be considerate of others and keep noise and disruption to a minimum, particularly late at night. Home to nearly 4,600 students, Ranmoor/Endcliffe accommodation is located around 1.5 miles from Sheffield city centre and is set in beautiful parkland. At the centre of Ranmoor/Endcliffe is The Edge and The Ridge. At The Edge you’ll find a café, dining room, bar, cashpoint and launderette, as well as a Customer Services reception.
