3434 VOLKSWAGEN PASITHEA – FUNCTIONS AND STORYBOARD

In the end, the Volkswagen Pasithea is for young successful people (managers, company founders, ceo etc.) that have to work late and so miss the Aperitivo time, but do not want to miss the Aperitivo experience. The Pasithea does not only compensate this experience, but gives it a unique touch by being a car.

SEDAN INSPIREDBY TRIUMPH TR4

REDESIGNING A CLASSIC FOR A NEW CATEGORY

Page 68: Raymond Grote – Portfolio

68 SEDAN INSPIRED BY TRIUMPH TR4 – IDEATION

Page 69: Raymond Grote – Portfolio

The challenge in this project was not just to create a new design that reminds of an older one, but to also translate it in another category and maybe also remind of the first category. Especially the rather oddly shaped front with the a bit more central headlights was difficult to translate into a newer and still appealing design language. For this I did not only look at the TR4, but also other cars from the company and found the bicolour roof that was an inspiration. The A-pil-lar is also emphasied in order to be reminescent of the cabriolet that is the TR4
