Holy Spirit arranges livelihood opportunity & training in the beauty business for housewi

Last Saturday, August 10, 2013, PP Linda

Palattao of Holy Spirit hosted a crash

course-seminar in cosmetology for house-

wives residing in Payatas, Quezon City. The

training event was held at the Payatas

campus of the Elite Business School of

Science and Technology.

The seminar was conducted by First Class

President Ma. Grace Vinarao of RC Acropo-

lis, a senior executive of the AVON organi-

zation who also provided the cosmetics

used during the training. FCP Grace was

assisted by PP Beth Sy of RCHS who deftly

helped during the make-up demonstration

and practice sessions. Rtn Jerry Sy

watched and took photos of the event.

The seminar covered training on the properapplication of facial cosmetics and under-

standing the AVON business model for

sales & distribution of the products.

of livelihood as they participate in th

tribution of world-renown AVON

products and apply the cosmetics to

make their clients look more beautiful

With fifteen clubs co-hosting the event,

District Community Service Chair Ma. Elisa

Baby Allado and FCP Pocholo Jaymalin of

RC Quezon City organized and held the

Environment Summit: A Waste Manage-

ment & Livelihood Seminar last August 10,

2013 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.

It was really all about Kabuhayan sa Bas-

ura, or livelihood from wastes. The half-

day session covered many topics: Organiz-

ing Recycling Cooperatives presented by

guest speaker Col. Roberto M. Jaymalin

(Ret.), head of Payatas Operations Group;

QC School-based Recycling Project by PP

Abe Q. Guenino; Teaching Entrepreneurs to

be Successful by IPP Cesar P. Baltazar;

Negosyong Pangkabuhayan: MakaDiyos,

Makatao at Makakalikasan by Pastor

Jaime T. Delos Santos; and Composting &Urban Vegetable Gardening jointly pre-

sented by Kgd. Andy Margallo & Agricultur-

ist David Balilla from BarangayHoly Spirit.

A co-host club, Holy Spirit was represented

in the seminar by FCP Eui Bong Jung and

Chair Ric Salvador. More important contri-
