NEEDS ASSESSMENT
This 3-day meeting will provide the comprehensive ophthalmologist with information and skills related to the latest developments in the subspecialties of glaucoma, retina cornea/external disease, eye oncology and cataract surgery utilizing didactic sessions followed by questions/answers and interactive panel discussions. Participants will also participate in mini-symposia on diabetes management in the eye and body, physician wellness sessions, and important journal publications from the past year. Round table sessions will also be employed to cover areas such as neuro-ophthalmology, cornea, cataract surgery, and pediatric ophthalmology.
Performance will be improved by providing the practicing ophthalmologist with new tools and the most current guidelines for the management of ocular disease. Talks on managing more complex cataract surgery will provide them with new tools to utilize in those cases. Discussions about the newest available treatments for glaucoma, dry eyes, keratoconus, retinal edema and macular degeneration will also improve their ability to give patients the best options for therapy.
