Holiday Tree Recycling This holiday season, participate in what’s known as “treecycling” and donate your live tree to Valley Vista Services. Holiday trees collected are put through commercial chippers and turned into products like mulch and compost which is given back out to the community. Valley Vista Services offers FREE curbside collection of holiday trees December 26 th through January 9 th . Place trees curbside on your regularly scheduled collection day and we will pick them up at no additional charge. Trees must be stripped of all ornaments, garlands, tinsel, flocking and stands. 4 Consejos Para una Temporada de Festividades

Limpia Y Verde:

1. Compre un Árbol Vivo. Evite comprar árboles de plástico que no

sean reciclables y que a menudo se fabriquen y transporten desde el

extranjero. Los árboles naturales locales y de cultivo sostenible

utilizan menos energía para la producción y absorben toneladas de

dióxido de carbono de la atmósfera.

2. Use Luces LED Con un Temporizador. Las luces LED para

fiestas usan un 70% menos de energía que las luces incandescente

convencionales e irradian menos calor. Usarlos con un temporizador

también ayuda a reducir y regular el tiempo que las luces estan

encendidas.

3. Use Bolsas Reutilizables. Ya sea que esté comprando regalos o

comprando alimentos, usar una bolsa de compras reutilizable le

ahorra dinero, reduce la contaminación y conserva valiosos recursos.

4. Al Comprar en Línea, Elija Envío Estándar. El envío al día

siguiente y a los 2 días es conveniente, especialmente cuando se

compra en el último minuto, pero las emisiones de tales métodos de

envío rápido generalmente significan flete aéreo o envío de paquetes

en camiones medio vacíos. Planifique con anticipación este año su

Esta temporada de fiestas, participe en el reciclaje de

árboles y done su árbol vivo a Valley Vista Services. Los

árboles festivos recolectados se pasan por astilladoras

comerciales y se convierten en productos como mantillo y

abono que se devuelve a la comunidad.

Valley Vista Services ofrece una recolección GRATUITA de árboles festivos

del 26 de Diciembre al 9 de Enero. Coloque los árboles en la acera en su

día de recolección programado regularmente y los recogeremos sin cargo

adicional. Los árboles deben ser despojados de todos los adornos,

guirnaldas, oropel, flocado y soportes.

computadoras, impresoras, equipos de música y cables, y

recíclelos sin cargo. Valley Vista Services recolectará todos los

desechos electrónicos, y ropa y zapatos ligeramente usados

tomados como donaciones. Toda ropa debe estar limpia y

ponible. *Comprobante de residencia es

requerido. No se aceptarán residuos peligrosos del hogar,

como: baterías, focos, productos médicos o residuos tóxicos,
