ConclusionWe have come to the conclusion that the presence of elderly- friendly facilities is a very important factor when it comes to preventing falls, with level flooring being the most common, followed by anti-slip tiles, alarm system, then support handle bars. However, the facilities should be installed in certain areas such as the toilet, for maximum effect. However, slippery flooring did not actually have much of an effect. Males appeared to have a higher chance of falling down compared to females, although the reason, as of yet, remains unknown.
• Elderly-friendly facilities are important
