The reservoir shows vertical and lateral heterogeneity seen in different wells and reflected by porosity and permeability.
Amin is a formation deposited in continental conditions and consists of different facies : arid fluvial to sebkha and eoliandeposits. The best quality reservoir coincides with the eolian sandstones seen at the upper part of the reservoir in the core area and decreasing towards the north and the north west of the field. The poor reservoir quality correspond to the sebkha deposits associated with alluvial/fluvial sheet deposits.
