Torpparinmäen Peruskoulu is situated in the northern part of Helsinki close to the airport. The neighbourhood consists of wooden family houses.The school is build in 1999 and is now in it’s fifth year. The shape is oval and the overall idea is to ask for coexsistence by the use of transparent walls and open areas. The school square (The Agora) where the school dinner takes place is also an important element.The transparency is the main idea in the building and in this school in general.
