New statistics on the prices and volumes of energy wood
Consumption of forest chips: 8.3 mill. m³ (2012), target: 13 mill. m³ (2020) more transparent information necessary to activate energy wood markets
Introduction of more standardized measurement methods and units better pre-conditions for statistics
Specifications of new statistics:
-coverage: energy wood purchased from private forest owners (raw material for forest chips)
-four energy wood assortments: (i) stumps and roots, (ii) tops and branches, (iii) unpruned stems, and (iv) unpruned stems
-both roadside and stumpage prices, plus corresponding volumes
-regional breakdown: 7 price regions
-start: 1st quarter of 2014
