Recorded Audition Guidelines SUBMITTING RECORDINGS THROUGH 1. Gordon College is pleased to partner with getacceptd.com, an online network that connects applicants with performing arts programs, allowing the easy submission of digital recordings. 2. For all applicants, live auditions are strongly recommended. However, in cases where distance prohibits a visit to campus, recorded auditions can be submitted through getacceptd.com. 3. All applicants must complete two separate applications in order for the live or recorded audition to be considered for admission: a. The Gordon College Freshman/Transfer Application for Admission b. The Gordon College Music Application 4. For applicants who have scheduled (or intend to schedule) a live audition, it is not necessary to submit a recording through getacceptd.com. 5. DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes and other forms of media will no longer be accepted by mail. Video recordings must be submitted digitally using the following link: http://app.getacceptd.com/gordon 6. Video recordings must include all of the materials requested in the Suggested Audition Repertoire guide (available at http://www.gordon.edu/music/ repertoire) 7. The camera should be set at an angle conducive to viewing the applicant’s technique (e.g. a pianist should be sure that his or her hands are in the camera shot). 8. Please be sure that all audio is clear and that selections are saved in separate files, each labeled in the following format: composer_selection.mov (the file type/extension may vary) 9. A $25 fee will be charged for video submissions through getacceptd.com. Please note that this fee is charged by acceptd and is not a fee charged by Gordon College. There is no fee for live auditions. 10. For assistance with technical issues during the uploading and submission process, please contact [email protected].
